I understand. My box had a defective game and a low value box, so they gave me two games to make it up. Great customer service and great video! Wetrix for the win.

The swing and missed a few times for sure but finally came through with a solid base on balls at the end. 😂 Still fun doing these every month and VGM are a solid company. 🤙🏻

You know, I dig Dr. Mario, but I don't think I've played the N64 version. Really glad that VGM was working with as best they could. Sorry for all the hoops you had to jump through, but cool to see some more N64 additions to the library.

It’s a pretty decent version of Dr Mario. Worth checking out if you come across it on the cheap. VGM is amazing! It was a pain but I definitely knew they would take care of it. Hope you guys are doing good buddy! 🤙🏻

Damn! Sucks that Hybrid Heaven didn't work. Rough!!!! And then they send you a double 😤 as a replacement?!! I know that VGM is doing their best to accommodate but they really should at the very least test the games...

Even with all the BS this month I still take my hats off to them for making it right. It’s a pain for both of us when this stuff happens. Weird thing is the first non working game didn’t look too bad. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Either way though I do still enjoy getting these every month. It’s like a surprise in the bottom of the cereal box when you’re a kid. 😂

Mystery boxes are a crap shoot sometimes. That’s part of the excitement though. 😂 This was a bit of a down month but all in all I still enjoy the service. Appreciate you checking it out as always buddy. Hope you’re doing well and finding a way to beat the heat down there.🍻🤙🏻

I love the original Dr Mario but I was super disappointed in the N64 game personally, but I'm glad they still maintain top tier services

I kinda enjoy the 64 version. But it kinda feels like more of the same with a fresh coat of paint to me. 🤷‍♂️ They definitely do right but the customer even though this months box was a massive pain in the butt. 🤣 Cheers brother. Hope you are doing well. 🍻

As you say aslong as youre happy thats all that matters, i do think these kind of services really lend themselves to folks that have small collections or are just starting out, unlike yourself who has a big collection you start running into issues and im sorry the condition of those 2 games was awful no excuses for that imho.

These services definitely do work best for new collectors and for gamers who don’t really collect and just want to play. It’s been pretty helpful for filling in a lot of common stuff for the full sets too but I can only see it getting harder and harder for them to source what I need. Either way it’s been a fun few years and they do try their best to fix mistakes. This month was a horrible example though of what’s possible from a mystery box. Gotta show the bad with the good though. Have a good weekend dude! 🍻🤙🏻

The fact is that even though I have loved the service over the past few years not every box is a winner. But as a user who posts to RU-vid we definitely have to show the bad along with the good to keep it objective. But like I said each one of us spends out money on what we want to and if your happy with that then no one else gets a say in it. Mission 64 is moving along every month. All the problems this month. lol. At least it got worked out in the end. If you don't find another Hybrid Heaven by SEGE I'll be bringing a copy of it. It has some stickers on the front but swap out the front with your non working copy and it would be good to go. I'll be bringing some other N64 stuff as well.

I had no doubt they would get it all straight eventually. Any issue I have ever had they always have taken care of. Looking forward to seeing you at SEGE dude. Hard to believe it’s only a little over a week away. I will definitely be on the hunt for NES and N64 so excited to see what else you bring along too. Have to drop the SEGE hype video in a couple days! 🍻

I have told myself a few times that maybe I should just get primed a little before I start recording. 🍻Loosen up and let it rip! 😂 Pretty good brew for sure. Not what I was expecting but well worth a swallow. Dr Mario 64 is a nice port of the game. They made it look a little fresher than the original but kept the gameplay the same style of fun. All in all not a great box for the month but hats off to VGM for always making it right. Cheers bro! 🍻🤙🏻

Dude!!!! Bummer but, at the same time I get it. Large collections for a system are tough to manage and source for. I still like the fact that they're working on getting you box more geared to what you want and the value of it. Maybe not something they can do for everyone but, definitely for loyal customers. only 14 more and you hit that big 1K mile stone. cheers bud!

I am happy VGM has been able to work it out so far, even with the hiccups along the way. Even after 4 years I am still excited to get this box every month. It has helped immensely with the set chasing, but I can see it getting harder and harder for them to source for me within the sets. I honestly haven’t paid a lot of attention to the sub count. In a way for little community guys like us it’s a bit phony anyhow. Feels like if you watch it you see the count rise and fall. Two steps forward one step back. 🤷🏼‍♂️ But I would be lying if I said it won’t be cool to hit 1000 either way. RU-vid isn’t paying me anyway. 🤣

Hey mate! You're not missing out on any fun with your broken copy of Hybrid Heaven. Rubbish game! Sold mine super quick after giving it a play. I do like the 64s 2D games! As much as I think the original Dr Mario is a very boring game the 64 version looks quite appealing. 😁👍

The 64 did have some really good 2D games. Yoshi’s Story was a great example of a pretty game that wasn’t 3D on the system. Mischief Makers is another that is a fun and good looking game. It’s a shame they were so totally focused on only 3D but since it was the new thing I understand I guess. Hybrid Heaven may be a bad game but I still need it for the set. 😂 It may get dusty though if it is that bad. Hope you and the family have been well my friend and life is good.

I got Luigi. I need to work out a deal with them as the Genesis collection is getting too big. I do love Dr Mario. I did not know it made it over to the 64. I'll have to check it out.

That’s right I did see you guys get Luigi. I think I I have only not seen Toad and the Golden Mario actually now. 🤷🏼‍♂️ They would definitely work with you on the Genesis set. I have been doing it for the NES with them for the past 2 years. Most months it’s not a problem just depends on who packs the box I guess. 😂 Dr Mario 64 is a nice port of the game. Looks good and is just as fun as the original.

I love those Mario Kart pins. It sucks that you got a game that didn't work and a duplicate but its pretty cool that they're willing to work with you on helping you build your collection. I actually have a retro game mystery box coming at the beginning of next month that I'm really excited about. Its not VGM or RGT but one I haven't seen a lot of unboxings on so it might be relatively new but I'm really excited to be getting it and of course I'm gonna be unboxing it on my channel

The Mario Kart pins are definitely cool! VGM did it this month as a 10 year anniversary gift to the subs. They have been a great service and I can confidently recommend them to anyone with the caveat that you either don’t care and just want to play random games or you must pick certain systems to really get your money worth. It will be cool to see what service you’re gonna try out. I had Loved Again Media for a few months last year as well. They were decent but you just never know what they may send you. I had them send me a $100 game one month and a $1 game the next. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Any way you cut it though a mystery box is fun! Good luck with it and I will be be watching. 🍻

Not sure what was going on with VGM last month but as usual they took great care of business. I have been so darned behind on everything I need to check your boxes out still. Sounds like they hooked you up nicely. The 4th was not bad really. We were traveling on the holiday so a bit different. Been a lot of fun over the past few days though here on vacation. I would say that maybe they switched out boxes but…I would t have wished this box on you dude. 🤣 The pins are gorgeous! Very nice gift from VGM. They are a good company that definitely makes a good effort to keep customers happy. Dr Mario 64 is very solid. I am a fan of the original too and they did it Justice in my opinion. Cheers! 🍻
