My suggestion is for him to come to California my home to clear his allegations. In addition he should be truthful and respectful. The state will provide him an attorney if he can not afford one. This is clear justice in practice. I wish him speedy trial in advance.
It's quite disappointing to hear someone that claims to be a solicitor stating on national TV that Kyary should jump on the next available flight to defend himself. It is his right to go through the legal process in Nigeria first, and his suspension by the police federation is a positive step in my opinion. There should be a robust investigation in Nigeria, and also clear determination of whether the alleged crime falls within the US jurisdiction!!! Don't forget that the American govt don't volunteer their citizens to be extradited to other countries. There is an ongoing case here in the UK, where an American lady killed a young boy while driving on the wrong side of the road. She absconded to the US, and till date the US govt refused to extradite her to the UK, even after the UK govt requested for her extradition!! There is possibility that Kyary has committed the alleged crime, however we should rely on the Nigerian judicial system to deal with matters that fall within its jurisdiction. We cannot continue to be puppets to the Western countries!!
