On the 12 July 2019, the Orange Order in Liverpool (and throughout the North {and indeed South} of England) made their way to Southport and I had the pleasure of accompanying them. What made this 12th July so different from those in Glasgow and Belfast, the 12th in Liverpool is not a public holiday and is often held on a mid-week day which means all those on parade have taken time of work or school and have incurred some form of 'cost' in doing so!?
