Diese Produktion war unmöglich. Anna Neptrepko hat sich geweigert mit diesem Regisseur zu arbeiten und hat auf ihren Vertrag verzichtet. Sie hat dafür in Dresden gesungen. Kaufmann und Opolais waren Weltklasse. Solche Regisseure machen die Oper kaputt.

Wenn der Interpret perfekt in die dargestellte Person schlüpft, verändert sich das neurohormonelle Profil des Interpreten komplett, er wird die dargestellte Person. Mehr geht nicht. Bravo.

Hideous staging as usual from this opera house, pity for the fantastic singers. This is the biggest tragedy. Oh, those awful red haircuts! I cannot focus on Puccini with all this garbage. I love Kaufmann and Kristine, great chemistry.

Jonas Kaufmann needs to shave and comb his hair. He's a great singer but always seems to look like he just woke up on a park bench.

Are you utterly ridiculous ? First his taste has nothing to do with his talent which is enormous . He happens to look like a mixture of lord Byron and a Greek god. Good enough beauty for most. Send in a picture and let s see what you look like. Curious.
