This man doesn't need notes, or prompts, or powerpoints, or quotes by others. He speaks from a place of actual knowledge. He is amazing. Can we even appreciate the fact that this man produced such things weekly, for decades!?!?

Think of it-he gave this speech at 88 years old, 1 year before his death. What will we be doing at this age? Probably in a nursing home. Our bodies will be fragile due to sitting on a couch the whole day, and our minds will be in sickness due to the amount of substance abuse and misuse of mental energy in general. We need to do something to prevent this and do it ASAP.

From my perspective It would appear that when we depend solely on outside sources/means to fulfill us, whether that be money/material things or the attention/presence of other people, we are always left wanting. Oh, we may feel satisfied for a time but sadly this feeling is fleeting. It's similar to satisfying a physical hunger. In time, not feeling satisfied with what we have, we are left feeling empty inside. Unable to fill a inner void regardless of how much material things we may have or people we may have around us.
