Mr Folger, watching your videos has been the catalyst for me to try harder with my own sculpting. You have given me so many ideas and inspiration, I can't thank you enough. I don't usually comment on videos but felt I had to this time. Your face in tree sculptures especially led me in a whole new direction to explore. I have found that sculpting has helped me with my depression, I can become so engrossed in it that time passes quickly and I finish with a sense of confidence. Hi Jake, I know views can really get to you even if you try to not let it, but I feel the need to say just how much you help me in particular to keep trying and keep creating art. I have my own mental health issues and I have highs and lows just like you said in the video so I really understand that. Your tutorials have helped me out of my lows a couple of times now because it encourages me to create again. I love how you are so hands on and messy when creating art because that’s how I love to do it too! I will try to comment more as I’m usually a silent viewer but I always like the videos and will continue to. Thanks for all your hard work I really do appreciate it.
I discovered your videos back when I was trying to learn to sculpt a little gnome so I could make my own mold. I really surprised myself with how well it turned out when I followed your video. You show things in a way that really clicks for me. I have really been enjoying all your painting tutorials and just waiting for a time when I can sit down and try my hand at some of them. Thank you for sharing your story and your studio area. It is easy to see that art is a huge part of your life. I think it is wonderful that you have this passion. I know it is hard to share very private things with strangers and nothing is more private than an illness. I appreciate your courage. It is hard to build an active following on RU-vid. My middle daughter does water colors when she is not studying to become an attorney and her views are far less than yours. She has very few subscribers. Just keep doing what you are doing and know that you do have fans out here who look forward to your videos. I was surprised to learn you do all your video with a cell phone. Your videos are very good.

I know how hard it can be when your not well but you are a great inspiration to us to keep going no matter what and that means something 💖. Thank you for your generosity in sharing your tutorials. They have so encouraged me as a beginner-you make creating accessible for those of us who feel we can't, or have too much shame to put it out there, fear being seen/rejected. And thank you for your courage to be vulnerable and share your struggles and ask for what you need. You have my love and support from afar (Hawaii).
This abundance of accumulated artsy stuff comes with the territory. It’s understandable. Though, it can seem overwhelming. Please take care of you first. People will respond or not. It happens to the best of us. YT takes effort way above and beyond what we sometimes don’t realize. People may only drop by and/or respond once in a while. As for me, I also have a channel to manage (not monetized) among other income sources. However, I can only do what works best time wise, health wise and otherwise. I think there will be ups and downs depending on your subject matter and your viewers’ lifestyles. After a while, there’s only so much that a creator can do. You’ve done a great job educating and entertaining your viewers. 😍

Hi Jake I use to do pictures but then I lost my leg and I found you and I started watching you and everyday I would buy clay and make clay pieces you helped me. I also have bipolar but everyone thinks I should be up all the time.try for being there for me.

Good afternoon. My sister just introduced me to your work today. From what I have seen so far today I’m in awe with your talent and your teaching method thank you so much for sharing your life’s work in a way that is easy to follow. I am new to crafting as I have been a workaholic my whole life and a Mother and Grandmother however due to illness I am currently unable to work and may be for sometime so I have taking up various crafts to stop be going nuts being stuck in the house. Thank you for being brave enough to share with us your health condition it’s very important that we all raise awareness of mental health issues in order to help others seek the help they need without fear. I myself live with physical and mental health issues and I have knowledge and experience supporting both patients and family members who have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder so I understood the difficulties that you have to cope with daily. It will take me sometime to go through the back catalogue of your work which I’m really excited about. I just wanted to say Hi from Bonnie Scotland, and send you some love and positive thoughts. Keep up your excellent work as it means a lot to people like me and can be a life line on black days to try and concentrate on something that has meaning but won’t over whelm you with lights and noise x
Jake I'm so glad I've I bumped into you. I have Schizophrenia, this is a really difficult illness. If it wasn't for my faith and art I don't know what I would do, I have good friends but like most people they hear Schizophrenia and want to get as far away from me. Just now I'm trying to find my niche
Keep posting! I just found you, and I'm glad I did! I struggle with mental illness and I also work at a mental health clinic. I am much like you with my hobbies... Clay is a very recent one though. And I use a lot of the things I learn with my clients, too! Recently , I've been doing polymer clay stuff with my art inclined clients! I'm glad I found you, and I'm glad that you found art!
