He's been stalking her for 15 years, everyone knew what was happening the second he said his name. Yes security was there and did their job, as they should, but Renee also instinctively stood up and kept herself between the man and Drew. Moving towards Drew with her hand out not allowing him to get to her or anything, with her hand out. If you watch videos of this from other angles you can see Renee ushering Drew backstage, not security. Everyone did their part, everyone took care of her. But the qualities of Renee are worth noticing as she's a very strong young woman and protecting her friends, not a lot of people know how to react properly in situations without training in it or being hypervigilant by nature or from life experiences. Let her have the credit she deserves, stop coming online just to be negative keep you negativity to your own life not spreading it to strangers online, and actually get all the facts before you try and speak
We prosecute stalking far too lightly. I tried to get a restraining order against a stalker but couldn’t because they weren’t “threatening my physical safety”.
I'm a woman who believes in self-protection. Not enough is done to protect us. Cameras are good but more importantly a gun (not just pepper spray/). Dead serious. Stay safe please🙏

@@jacksoncowsert6964 i know alot of people who would sit back and watch at the expense of others. Humans are selfish. This is an unknown man who came in aggressive (im referring to the screaming and rushing the stage) and had unknown intentions. Most people would take care and make sure themselves were safe first. Im not saying give her a medal but damn shes got my respect

She didn’t say anything to the person, didn’t stand in front of Drew or any of that. She was sat down and stood up at the end due to the shock of it all. Celebrity worship really has people thinking that normal mundane things are inspiring when famous people do it.
I've had a stalker since August 2021 😞 he sounds just like this creep. He lives in my town, follows me to stores, shows up at my work, waits for me outside in the parking lot when I'm leaving work, he doesn't care who sees him. I'm terrified and cops won't do anything because he hasn't "threatened" or done anything.. yet 😔 I carry pepper spray but he catches me off guard and I hate leaving my home.
So glad that security acted quick, and love how Renee's expression changed and she instantly went to help Drew. In the full vid, Renee and drew leave the stage holding hands. That's a good person right there ❤
It seemed like Renee went to Drew and was gonna put herself in front of her as protection ❤. I mean it wasn't necessary because Renee probably was not going to stop them and they have a lot of security but it's still super sweet that was her instinct to do that
You would be correct. In the full video, Renee does stand in front of Drew, and then they walk off toward backstage, together. When they come back on stage, Drew talks about how protective Renee was, and how she shielded her from the man. @@Valeriamtzp

She had several body guards there that were actually the ones who blocked him and were actively walking him out of the building 😂 I wonder how brave Renee would have been if security wasn’t there 😉
While saying she was gonna throw down or smthn for Drew would be an exaggeration, she obviously wasn't running away either. She moves toward Drew and reached out toward her, and in order to do this she had to move closer to the guy too. Who moves toward the threat when running away lmao

I love Drew, the way her reaction to someone screaming her name was hi is super sweet. Too bad it went down hill. Glad he's off the streets and is no longer a danger to her or anyone else.
sadly he is a serial celebrity stalker. he has even stalked emma watson, been on drew’s home property etc it’s crazy. they keep releasing him over and over for whatever stupid reason.

The fact that so many actors had to endure stalking...and violence for authorities to finally take it seriously....and even now, they don't take it as seriously as they should...is still so concerning.

She was initially trying to de-escalate the situation and determine the level of concern she should have. She was registering. Then, when he said his name you could tell she panicked. Her face absolutely changed.
I didn’t see panic in her face… I got: “oh. I know who you are mf and I’ve locked eyes on your disturbed as. You come any closer, and I’ll go Charlie’s Angels on your beach as.”

I had a stalker for 20 years. It's terrifying, you never fully sleep because you don't know if he's out there, your home never feels the same again. You watch behind your back all the time and when you go to your car you look in the back and under the car. It changes your whole life and how you view the world. Good job to her security!
I understand it can cause paranoia, but that's when you gotta be fearless, and own the situation or the situation will own you and you'll end up stalking your stalker. Maybe use that understanding of what it's like to be paranoid and try to understand that your stalker has a mental/emotional disability most likely and they need help. Being afraid won't end the situation, that just makes 2 people that don't know how to handle the problem. But take precautions and legal action, if they are threatening, the best you can. Most likely the person is harmless and you can think of a rational way to resolve someone's stalking issues. Idk but us regular citizens have to deal with stalking without the security and millions of dollars celebs have and the millions of supportive people behind them. So I just think they should set a better example of how to deal with stalkers like this individual who clearly needs help, not hate.
I had a co-worker who was stalked for years, and one day his stalker showed up at work. I will never forget how terrified my colleague looked. Then he told us everything that this guy had made him go through through the years and it was horrifying. You have all my sympathy! I hope this person is out of your life for good and that you can heal fully.
@lsamoa thank you so much, he stalked me for 20 years and then died of a heart attack. I was sad for r h I s wife and kids but felt finally free. Still caurious though.
@matthewlandrie8302 he was not harmless he changed in the street behind his truck into camps and had a gun. He would blind me through my window with a hunting light. Cops caught him that night and he had a gun and a knife and had feces smeared all over his body. He went to jail but continued after he got out. I was pretty fearless condidering.
I love how calm and collected she was❤ Also, her security team handled this incident incredibly well 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 hopefully that guy is getting the mental health he needs 🙏🏽🙏🏽 sadly mental health is a problem here in America!

Yeah Drew is sweetheart isn't she? It boggles my mind With the childhood she had that she turned out as well as she did no thanks to her mother who wasn't a good mother. She was lousy thank God Drew had some wonderful friends around her. Adam Sandler was one of them. He's a sweetheart and a really good bloke. I don't know him but I reckon he's a good bloke.
There should be better stalking laws this is ridiculous, how can they allow someone to stalk somebody for years and not stick through crazy ass and a mental institution or jail.
I had a stalker while I was on the job. It took two months for him to "do enough" to be charged. It took 6 more victims and TWO years for him to be arrested and taken off the streets. I stopped working with the public afterwards.
So wait, he was let go and found at her property? That's crazy, why did they let him go? This could've ended badly. Thank God they ended up arresting him.
I'm guessing because it's not easy to be charged for shouting in a theater and leaving when they ask you to leave. Even when you know someone is a problem, they need to clearly break the law before you can justify imprisoning them.

Hi, sorry of what you are going through. Unfortunately, police will not do anything unless stalker hurts you. Only court can issue a restraining order. Be careful as sometimes restraining order can anger stalker, making them worse. I suggest you keep an eye out and carry something to protect yourself. Be careful.

They only detained him briefly and released him after questioning. They opened an investigation and later charged him and issued a warrant for him. They caught him after that and held him over night in jail then released him without bail. He never showed up to get his gps tracker and had another warrant issued. A few weeks later he broke into the backstage of a NY fashion week show, demanding to see Emma Watson. He was arrested for this and AGAIN released on bail. I believe he was awaiting a felony trial in a detention center as of November, but I don't know anything else :/
