I have watched several of your MDT videos & you are dead on. thanks for your help keep up the good work with your MDT videos.

I ended up create a reference image than contains all my updates. I then created a new image from my reference VM. This solved the issue and deployment time was a lot shorter.

trying getting into your command prompt within your deployment when it failed and locate the BDD.log files. I think that's what it is called. normally the it will be in the X drive.

Having trouble with one of a packages. Please advise as to how to debug which update is failing the deployment.

I cannot get this to work. Might have something to do with the fact that I am using mdt 2013 update 2

When I follow these steps, I get a failure during the OS installation (imageshack.us/photo/my-images/202/4o24.png). If I got to the task sequences properties, then task sequence tab > preinstall > and disable "Apply Patches" then the OS will install without error, but the Windows patches won't install despite putting the "Install Updates Offline" under Postinstall > Add Windows Recovery (WinRE). Any suggestions?

BJ, My MDT for Window 10 only shows one Windows Update (Pre-Application Install and not two like your video. Help Please.

Thanks for the video. Everytime I enable windows update post application and deploy the image, after the pass 1(pc reboots). then it throws error." An existing deployment is in process. would you like to start a new one". Is there anything i am missing? Thanks

why, oh why I cannot get the updates to be installed in MDT 2013.. I did everything you said to do but after the OS installes and I checked for updates, I get zero updates installed.. HELP>>>>

BJ, followed your tutorial and everything worked perfect......almost. I downloaded all win7 x64 updates and just dumped all of them in MDT Packages. Anyway. deployment failed during "apply unattend.xml using DISM". Apparently, there are a few update cab files that make it fail, as well as some IE apps that I don't want. So I am adding about 20 update cab at a time, then deploy to see if error. Do you know a way to determine what updates WILL deploy without error. Your method works great, but I wish there was easier way to find all the valid updates. Win8 should be much easier as there are not nearly as many updates......yet (-; ... Thanks again
