I still have a PST that spent most of its life in the side pouch of a go bag, so it's virtually unused. There's an elegance to this model that's been lost in its descendants - mostly for good reasons, but these were, and still are, amazing tools!
I was hitting pawn shops all within a few miles of my house looking to buy my first leatherman, the only LM I found ended up being the 2nd shop I stopped at and in a beaten up case, but when I opened it I noticed it was a PST but from Japan, looked almost new and definitely hadnt been used more than a handful of times. At that second didn’t know they had ever been produced in Japan so I left and did some research. Needless to say for $30 I went back and bought it 😅. Now I’m afraid to use it because it looks too nice, so looking to get a newer PST of wave plus for edc
@philippeppers1633 what a great find, the Japan made ones are a huge part of Leatherman's history. My condolences, though - you may have just started an expensive collection.
My wish is to get a birth month/year one someday but most of the offers dont show date on ebay. Would be cool to pair it with birth year wenger/victorinox soldier :D
