SL is short for Superlink, the Japanese version of Transformers Energon. Which means that it was made for the original Energon Superion Maximus.

I wish they replaced the redundant figures like they did with bruticus max, still it does a nice job enhancing an already cool set....but BRUTICUS MAXIMUS is still far more BA

BTW... the feet do have a pivot. I just got my set and if you look really close the piece where the feet connect with the bot, it's a separate piece. The fitting is kind of tight so it's not obvious that it swivles..

The arms can pivot some. But it only really works if the arms are set up right. Also have you tried closing the arms into the nose of the plane in the arms? (Considering that's how it's supposed to be when they combine). Also does the expansion set work if you combine Superion the way it's meant to Combine? (With the legs bent back towards the cockpit and the cockpit facing down?)

TRANSFORMER toys are NICE when it comes in TRANSFORMATION and MODEL but there are some parts that i REALLY HATE which is their ARTICULATIONS and the SCREWS. MOST of them are their elbow and knee joints has only 1 joint and can only rotate 90 degrees, their heads can only rotate sideways, their hands has always hole where the weapon holds, few of them has articulations in their fingers like Master Piece toys and the largest Optimus Prime 2008 toy, and they don't hide the screws. =_="

This set is cool and the addon-kit is fantastic, but now that i have the Bruticus set, this looks a bit meh. I would like Fansproject to make a new kit to emulate Superion by making their own limb bots from scratch and use the Universe Silverbolt fig as a base.

their called engeron stars and arcee and her team would gather energon inside of them and then when they made the star.they lunched them out of their chest to the autobots and they would get a power boost as well as a weapon to use.great review btw

I have a Question ok I know hasbro is the Company who makes the Transformer Figures So Iam confused is Hasbro An American Company like Who makes are Transformers are they Made in the USA like do Americans Design are Transformer figures and that other Company in Asia called Takatomy does hasbro sell them are Figures so they can have there own figures? how does this work -brain explodes-

Seeing as the Revenge of the fallen is a repaint of the Energon Superion Maximus how does this appendage set look on the Energon version?, I only have the energon set as i didn't have any of the others released in my area as well as having to complete him with ebay.

@OverFuryAndTheFire the Revenge Of The Fallen version is a repaint. the extra add-ons he reviewed in this video is the add-on set from FansProject ( a third party company which makes very good toys such as Thundershred, Backfiery or Stormbomb ( the not-insecticons )

You can fold arms on the ones that become arms up and behind , with them up will you get a G1 Ultra magnus tower shoulder look on them and they are more out of the way, after all you cant move the arms outwards anyway.

The only major gripe i have with the kit is that you cant interchange the limbs anymore, i guess one reason to keep the old attachment bits, but the legs made out of the fighter jets are pretty crap anyway

to get the gun into his hand you have to fold down the back piece of it to form a new handle that will fit the fists

Whats great about these fan project is that they make a figure I would normally pass up give me a desire to to purchase it. I never really got into the energon show but he reminds me of the G-1 figure so much he is now a must have display piece. Great Review as always. *****

They just only focused on transforming into vehicle or something. Also, some of their old toys are repainting it and changing its name. Like the smallest StarScream toy from Transformers Cybertron in Level 1 conversion. I saw it on a transformers box that contains 5 small repainted figures in Level 1 conversion and i noticed that their design are same from their old works and i saw 2 StarScream figures inside of the box and colored into white (or something) and changing their name.

With the kit, it takes away show accuracy from Transformers: Energon. For the original figures, Superion is Silverbolt and the others are drones. The combined form is Superion Maximus. In the show he has brothers, Bruticus Maximus & Contructicon Maximus.

GOD YES!! I have wanted the Bruticus set and This for SO long but they are insanely expensive. Hasbro should just buy the molds off of fansproject and sell the new toys separately for those who have them and in a set for those who don't.

Great review. I just purchased Superion Maximus and the Superion Aerial Team Add-on kit "Snowman" Version, an online exclusive from TFSource. Limited to just 500 pieces worldwide. This Appendage Add-on kit is in a much more G1 accurate color scheme. The hands, feet and other parts are colored in white which G.1 Superion is known for. It make the original mediocre Superion gestalt just AMAZING.

@optibotimus that sort of makes seance and doesnt like you said that takara/tomy makes/Designs the figures and sells them to hasbro so they can sell them but theTransformers Animated Cartoon is an American Cartoon so how can the toys be Japanese like wouldn't hasbro be incharge of Designing those American Figures so like if iam wrong your telling be that the Japaneses make both American toys and Japanese toys And that also Hasbros not really a toy creating company but a transfer toys company

I purchased this guy/ these guys a while back, and it quickly became the favorite in my collection (best $40+ I've ever spent :D). But now that I know about the add-on kit, that's just gonna make this set even more invaluable to me. I'm just a bit puzzled on that one. I noticed that ya didn't really cover Silverbolt's transformations. I don't think you reviewed him in any other videos, either. I'm just a bit puzzled on that one.

Great video and great review. i just got the add on in the mail today and its F***ing awesome. only one thing i think you should've done to get the full impact of this add on set is actually transform superion by himself...he is utter shit, and makes no sense but this add on turns him into gold. and as for articulation i was able to get him into some pretty dinamic poses and the feet do have a pivot and one more thing about the arms is on the 2 jets is you put them up below the cockpit not out

Please try this with the Transformers Energon Superion Maximus figure with the energon weapons? Superion Maximus should be a 7 part combiner in order to have the original 5 Airialbots with Air Raizor and Jetstorm and posable elboes as Superion.

I got my aerialbot for around $18 here in Manila, it was on sale and now with the money I saved I might buy the upgrade set which costs around $65 here...it kinda balances out, hehehe
