I have a new Schrade Tough Tool and it works great. I don't have any issues with the locking mechanism on any of the onboard tools, and they come with scissors now instead of that useless ruler it used to have which is great, I just I could've gotten a stainless one rather than a black one. The sheath is good too, no annoying velcro, it's button snap.
Thanks for the comparo, I have a series 1 TT that was quite expensive. I saw the price of the new ones & though they de-valued my TT but now I know why.
Hi Peter. Thanks for watching. You just can't beat the way these old school tools were made in the U.S. It is a shame everything is moving to China. Less for me to collect too.
Thanks for the comparison. I had heard that the old Schrade Tough Tool was much better than the current one, which is available pretty cheap here in pommieland but I won't be buying one. Also heard that your diggers are not too impressed about this being on issue.
Many "diggers" end up purchasing their own Leatherman/SOG/Gerber to use on deployment, which is why you can find these issued ones still in new condition on eBay.
would love a free leatherman:P the schrade seems interesting, innovative but ultimatly weird. sad to hear they went bankrupt and the chinese version is worse:/
Yeh, it's a poor foundation to build on. What stumps me is how the ADF went from the Victorinox SwissTool to this garbage and then back the Victorinox MXBS
C'est la vie. Yes, still have it, wiped the dust off the box just the other day. 99.9% of viewers don't subscribe but youtube still shows adverts on my videos and keeps 100% of the profits. I guess people would rather youtube get the money than the content creator - not that I really care. My other channels have been doing much better so I will end up putting more effort into those videos at the expense of this one. You can then all watch rabbit and/or BBQ videos. Haha 😄 Thanks for keeping tabs though!
@MrSuperheterodyne Welcome to the channel. Lots of videos here with almost every multitool made worth owning. Be sure to go back and have a look at some older videos. The Wave is a great starting tool.
@@MultitoolsandBlades Thanks. I really like the Wave. Carried for 7 years now and used daily. Before that I had a Leatherman Blast. I have also always been curious about the russian 6e6 tool. I will check out your other videos.
I don't have a Ratnik 6E6 tool and from what I have read, I don't think I will add one to my collection. As Don Pablo said, "Ratnik is kaputnik". Quality issues with that one.
