Witnesses recorded an incident where a white woman called the police on a black father who was coaching his son from the sidelines. Police found no wrongdoing and did not detain the father. It is the latest in a string of occurrences where white people have called 911 on black people who have done nothing wrong.

Yup. Amazing response time. How long does your department average ? Calls with a gun involved seem to get higher priority ? It varies tremendously here in Milwaukee, anywhere from 15 minutes to 4+ hrs... the average being about an hour.

Well, they can, you can be cited or even arrested for misuse of 911. In some counties, the police department will allow officers to cite people for that. Though, it's optional, the officer can choose whether he wants to cite or not. It would be a felony if the caller knew that the police response would cause bodily injury or death to people who said caller called 911 on. This is not the case for all counties, only some of them.

Because sometimes, yelling at the refs can lead to altercations between parents. Also, certain people yelling at any type of authority figures puts other folks on edge. The rule is good, but the people they have to implement it are sometimes suspect ... like in this video.

discorperted - she did single him out and he wasn’t “out of control”. He was voluntarily leaving when the cops were called. The cops are there because the woman in the Green singled him out, which is why the conversation is continuing just about him. And the issue is that there was no need to call the cops....there really wasn’t. The lady in green just wanted to harass him. It should be illegal to call the cops to just harass someone.

Next look up her job and what the athletic organization who she works for says about her and her job. Figure out why the police said it's not wrong to call them on a parent who's refusing to leave a private place without the automatic assumption that racism plays a big part. I love how the description says 'the police found no wrongdoing and he was not detained'. Even had he actually done what she claimed, it's NOT A CRIME. At the most, he would have been escorted off the grounds. There would have been no reason for 'detainment'. Thankfully, these were not 'those' sort of police. And this is what annoys me, it is illegal to make a 911 call that is not an emergency including false accusations, but the police don't really enforce that law when it comes to white people doing it. And because of that white people are constantly doing it all the time. I also read this one other comment and I agree, which is I do think white people do use the police as a lynching mob, or that is what I think their intention is meant to be. What I find most disturbing is when they do it on an innocent black child (the disturbing part is the intention of the white person for calling the police on that child and what the white person is hoping to have happen), these white people really don't care about the age they feel like they need to do it whatever it takes. And in the past white people have done lynching while never caring about the age of the black person, and their still doing it today their just getting someone else to do it now which is the police. White people, oh let me correct myself, most white Americans are selfish, racist, evil people.

And victims should retaliate and send a message by lawsuit. Sue for Mental Pain/Anguish and any other applicable charges. Not for money, but it's the principle.
