A Utah family is still on edge after they said a car full of men attempted to entice their child into a car while he was walking home from basketball practice. FULL STORY: www.fox13now.c...
@@danieltimen2560 well, he almost had no choice but to fight but then he was able to get to his neighbor’s house. In some situations, you will have to fight when there is no choice left.
If a kid is reading this, have your guard up in any situation like this. If there’s no choice left, but to fight, then fight. Otherwise, running away is the better option. Just be prepared to because it’s better to fight than to be taken to the second location where who knows what will happen to you.
That boy is a champion! Did everything right, made a lot of noise, tried to run and was ready to go on the offense as a last stand. His parents should be very proud.
I feel like that's a solid strategy for self defense that I don't remember ever hearing from anyone, make noise, make a lot of noise, make it your goal to let every single person know. Sure, yelling words isn't going to slap cuffs onto a threat but if you make noise someone could call the police, could come have a look what's going on and maybe help, hell even just yelling enough could make the threats worry about potential witnesses. If I'm getting kidnapped or murdered, I'm gonna make sure at least the whole street knows about it.
He may have been scared, but he's a hell of a brave, smart kid to stand his ground and scream his head off and run away to protect himself. Good going, kiddo!
My mom told me if I'm walking and a car is following me, go to a random house and go up to it like its your own. Then they'll probably just drive off. If they still are there, then knock on the door and tell them to call the cops. As a last resort, run. But I also only started taking walks on my own when I was 13 and I had a cell phone. (Not even an IPhone, it was a flip phone.)
He had no choice! His parent wasn't there to keep him safe by waiting to walk him home after he gets dropped off by the bus. This child knew what to do.... _but would yours???_
If you knew who and how the people are who run this world, you would know that they do ritual satanic child sacrifice, and even have movies and songs celebrating it. For example: MEIN HERZ BRENNT and PAN'S LABYRINTH.
@@tieany1 I know when I was little I had a key but I didn't carry it because I didn't want to lose it. I know that defeats the purpose of the key but I was a little kid losing the key I would have yelled at so if I just don't bring it I can't lose it and I stay out of trouble most kids don't think about needing it get in because someone's trying to kill/ take you. Some made that's why.
_Are you crazy?! He got lucky, that's all. What if the neighbor's door was locked? Pollyanna, do you understand what is going on in the world, what kind of evil there is that exists everywhere, even in the USA!? That is a fact. Jeez.
@@BOBBY69 yeah heartbreaking , just imagine if those mofos get the kid you never know what they would have done to him , it's fucked up we all just glad he got away
He was smart running to a neighbor’s house. 1. Keys would taken too long to take out, unlock, and lock. 2. The kidnappers would know that he’s alone in the house.
@@stinkybean2004 true, it saved his life. Though it wasn't just unlocked, it was open according to scene 0:53 Though it was 6 o clock at night according to scene 1:27 so it wasn't like it was it was open at midnight.
@@ZartoriasHorrorGames maybe for rape, maybe human trafficking, etc whatever it is, they up to no good, simple, dont think over too much why they did that, whatever the reason it will messed up your mind, just know it is nothing good
Man he sounded like he had his shit on lockdown. Planning his next move. He reacted and made plans so quicky the millisecond he realised the door was locked.
I see people talking about how the parents should've given the kid keys, but no one said they didn't. He could've have them in his bag, and if he tried to take them out, the guys would've reached him before he could open the door, or even find his keys due to the panic. The kid was smart and went to the neighbours' house instead of grabing them.
Cherry Miria that’s true and if he unlocked the door and went in they could have gone into his house to take him as there was no adult to protect him therefore if he went into the neighbours house, they would think there would be adults
ya i 100% agree with you on this, he couldve easily went inside, but with the panicking it makes it way harder and he atleast didnt act in panic, smart kid
Yeah, but why weren’t the parents home? That kid is too young to be home alone, especially at night. He also is too young to be walking down the street alone at that time of night. Even though it was 6pm it was dark. And if this was a normal routine then why wouldn’t they be home with the door unlocked? I’m sorry, but they were being naive and foolish. I can understand panic and him not grabbing the key to get in the house. However, his parents put him in this dangerous situation as there are weirdos out at all times and children that age need to be either with a parent or another child, not by themselves because then they are vulnerable to predators. They are very lucky that there son had good instincts and got away unscathed.
@@kuromaki6226 its happening if you throw at least 10cm wide of rock that can kill you painfully if it right to the head and it can kill you because blood loss and if you survive you get brain damage
@@NetralFN Yea bro, I know. That's why people used stone to kill or sentencing back then. Especially if the rocks are sharp, you basically say good bye to your skull or bones
for real. you start to think that's where it ends. that this was meant to be. scary as shit. clearly, he expected his door to be usually unlocked but I really hope all parents can give their kid a key in case. always.
@@Luckimee what're they gonna do? Did you see how beefy that kid's dad was? he probably has firearms, and they have them on the cameras, so they're probably not gonna let their kid outside for a bit.
Letting your kid walk home in the dark was probably your first mistake... No matter how short a distance, that child is your most precious gift. A parent should always consider their children's safety.
@@bunny6835 I like to play insurance fraud in the streets. Last night I made over a 1 millions dollars with only some permanent damage to my spinal cord. I think next time I'm going try a motorcycle, hopefully it won't hit as hard as the pickup truck did.
Exactly. This happened to me a ton of times when I walked alone as a teen. I don't want to hear the bull sh that kids HAVE to walk home alone. No they do not stop making excuses for your lazy parenting. My adopted parent used to work but she was always home when we got home when I was little and we all walked home together cousins and friends. We were taught not to leave each other alone or we were in trouble. But let's get it straight she could have walked home with us once she retired (she retired early we were still in elementary then) but she didn't. It's not going to ruin your day to walk home with your kid from school if you can or be home when they get off that bus!
That part got me too. It was panicked and it makes me upset at not just the pedophiles but also his parents for not giving him the tools he needs to succeed. He should have a key to his own home, a cell phone and someone should have been there to greet him. I just dont understand why he was walking at night back home by himself. Those perverts probably have watched him before and knew that he always walks alone.
Bree Gonzalez you clearly don’t have any kids. It would break my heart if my boy actually did get kidnapped and I knew my little boy was calling for me. Thank God this kid was smart and that didn’t happen.
@Calynn Soosay - and this is why I'm kind of upset at his parents too because they didn't prepare him for anything. He shouldn't be walking home at night by himself and he should have a key to his own home, a cell phone and someone to greet him when he gets home. Those perverts most likely have been watching him walk by himself home for a while now. They know he is an easy target because his parents aren't paying attention.
I think the best way to defeat a kidnapper is by taking the kidnapper to a volcano and throw the kidnapper into the volcano’s crater to get burned Alive. Thumbs up if you agree.
Obviously, his parents has a false sense of affluenza/security: allowing their child to return home in the DARK, w/o a key. Hopefully, they’ve changed their disposition.
wow these are DANGEROUS kidnappers, they stayed watching even after he yelled and threw rocks and even running to his neighbors! wow! i am shocked they are so bold to stay around!!
@@dootdoot94xo44 sounds like it right? Like who the fuck does he talk to to know they have a quota? Which sounds like a load of bs to me. Alot of people on RU-vid lie out they're asses for attention or to seem as if they know stuff others dont. Usually lonely losers with no friends.
Unfortunately the world is full of sick demented people that have no morals and should be put down. The things that have to go on in someone's head for them to try and kidnap a child is unbelievable.
He did exactly what he was suppose to do in a situation like this. Run, yell, don't be afraid to go into a house, show that you are ready to defend yourself etc. take notes ppl.
@@Sfaegbe You are wrong and should keep your mouth shut. Those things are not obvious at all to a young child in a terrifying situation. There are excellent teaching programs to prepare kids for such situations.
@@janetownley hes not half wrong ,i mean woudnt it be normal to hide/run from something you're afraid of even toddlers will do it t,his kid just did it better and got luckier than most either way its still great that nothing happend to him
@@didas6740 that still doesn’t make it okay. The poor kid was scared for his life! In his mind he wasn’t thinking “oh maybe they were joking.” Your first instinct is to run. And that’s what he did. It could have potentially saved his life.
@@didas6740 who messes with a random kid and waits minutes around the corner for them that’s weird as fuck bro you’re incredibly out of touch with reality if you think that
Wait so they actually showed up in a van and said they had candy inside? Huh I never thought any criminals would underestimate kids to the point of actually executing the most called on hypothetical kidnapping scenario in existence. It could actually work on a younger child, but it was so great to see this boy doing everything right in avoiding disaster
I had a similar experience to this, except the two in the car tried asking me for “directions”. A 9 year old for directions lol. Ran as fast as I could home
I was being followed home , I am so happy I took off my headphones and looked to my right to see a man following me in his car , if I hadn’t , who knows where I’ll be today ? It’s acc very scary 🥺
Haha, and I feel like this days kids my age(13) and his age all know what that means. It's the first line we're taught to be vigilant about. And unless he was like 4-8, no one would fall for that. But I mean I don't know kids can also be pretty dumb
I'm 65 years old-when I was 10,a strange man told me to get into his car saying,"Your dad told me to pick you up". Not knowing the man I ran through gangways and down streets out of my way home to escape. This stuff has been happening for decades. That was a smart kid,God bless him.
@@samaraisnt I agree, this is why it's important to have a key phrase that needs to be used if your parents ever have to send someone unfamiliar to pick you up. If they don't know the phrase, your parent didn't send them so run and make a fuss.
Kid is beyond wise. He knew the kidnappers would see an opportunity as soon as he grabbed the handle to the door and saw it was locked, so he doubled down and went into fight mode with the rocks as soon as that happened. Quick thinking, and extremely brave of him.
@Tom Spencer so if you watch a sad movie and cry are you emotionally unstable? Do you not watch movies with people that might cry, have you ever actually told someone that you thought they were emotionally unstable for crying at a movie. There is nothing wrong with crying because in real life you heard the true words of horror and emotion from a poor little child and to think someone is unstable because of it, goes to show more about the type of person you are, then they. What’s wrong with you!
As a huge true crime viewer, I’ve seen hundreds of cases just like this where these kids just vanish. It could be a safe neighborhood, sun’s out, going for a casual walk to the corner store… and they’re gone forever. Predators are all around us and children need to be taught early to be cautious of red flags.
i did the same thing but i got chase by grown me in an suv throgh open lots ran in the first house idk why chase me i was like 12 im 15 now idk they chase me
@@kobba915 right. It just have been unsettling for the kid to find a locked door with no parents home to protect him. He’s a little kid for heavens sakes ! These parents are fools.
This kid did really great, hope he’s doing well now. I can’t believe someone out there in the world would actually think luring kids with candy could possibly work, it’s the most stereotypical thing a kidnapper could do.
@@boysteacher3818 There’s a good chance they were just practicing (or enjoying his fear). That neighbor shouldn’t have had their door unlocked either but fortunately things worked out for that young man.
This happened to me when I was 10 years old. This was 30 years ago. I was riding my bike home from school and 2 men in a truck tried to grab me and told me to get in the truck. I managed to pull away and rode my bike to the nearest house. I knocked on the door but no one answered. The truck pulled into the driveway attempting to block my escape. I rode my bike past them as one of the men lunged at me from the truck door. he grabbed my shirt but i pulled away again. I went to the next door and a lady answered the door. She stood there with a surprised look on her face as I told her I was being kidnapped. The men in the truck saw the lady and then the truck sped away. It was terrifying. I thought for sure my life was over if I got caught by them.
lucky lucky someone opened the door for you. I once as a child tried to get help from a random house and they not only ignored me but turned off the lights lol.
This kid was super smart to grab the rocks and throw them, they do a ton of damage. Glad this kid was able to think cause when you panic you can’t think straight.
Grayden my darling from Australia and a mum of 6 grown and 30 grannies, I'm so proud of u, u are a brave courageous boy, I heard the fear in your voice but u stayed strong and brave fending them off. U I know made not just me but ya parents would be so proud....I love u CAPTAIN COURAGEOUS
The creepiest part is that it has a personal feel to it, like they were specifically after him, and not just looking for a random kid. I think if it were random; the yelling and the going inside would have them drive off in a rush, move on to an easier victim. The parking and waiting was super odd and scary.
U should look at what kind of kids get kidnapped most often it's white blond hair boys or girls they get the most money off of those but if ur blond chances are high they want u
@@XXX957TRO yeah blonds are relatively stupider and would be easy targets statistically. This kid i think had hair colour done I think. Or he is just an exception to the rule I guess.
@@abhinandantyagi6222 You have a really outdated idea of blondes that probably has been perpetuated by fellow Indians mocking outdated Hollywood films.

I was afraid to post something like this because people would say I'm blaming the victim but I really dont think young kids should be walking alone like that at night. He should have a key to his own home and a cell phone. They followed him because they know he is the one who's parents dont come pick him up.
They never could. This isn't new, its just that you can see every single instance of attempted and actual abduction because news is national and you can see everything on RU-vid.
@@ecclairmayo4153 When my children were that age, they didn't walk home that time of night. If an after-school event kept him late, his father, myself, or a designated adult was there to get him home safely. Parents are too trustful nowadays. This could have ended very badly!
That kid was smart, he ran from them and when he couldn’t get into his house, he prepared to defend himself until he found an escape and took it He did everything right and I’d be proud of him
When I was a kid I was throwing rocks at cars for fun on the way home, one of them followed me home without me noticing and when I did, I panicked and screamed and told my parents they told me go get in the car
Moral of the story: -give kids keys -get to know your neighbour -give them a tracking device or a phone if they’ll walk alone. This is horrible, the thought that those people are doing this to other kids… This boy is smart and brave.
Just say.. what if he had keys to his home...? What if he got into his home and they busted down the back door or busted out a window...? He would still be all alone...

Why do people keep assuming that was his home?! Did you not watch the video lmao all these same comments bruh. IT WAS A NEIGHBORS HOUSE! Thats why it was LOCKED. He lived a few houses down.
My auntie and uncle left the door unlocked for my cousin and the robbers came in and put my uncle in a blender and froze my auntie to death and then ate the porridge. All because they left the door unlocked.
he’s wise, especially for a 10 year old. they’re smart enough, near teens, but most, like myself when I was 10, would overestimate their fighting ability or not think to shout for help/grab a weapon just in case. personally I’d probably freeze in place and not even move until it was too late.
unfortunately his parents/ carers aren’t as smart as him. Seriously who makes a kid walk from and to school without a key? I have never left my home without a key ever before
They used the candy trick so the book was probably called "How to professionally kidnap:1969 edition" and they thought it would work on modern children
He's definitely a fighter, he got loud, kept moving, kept thinking ahead while in fear, figured out possible weapons, continued moving and trying other options, tried the door and instead of running in screaming for them to come back outside to see the car, he goes in during his fear and first thing he does is lock the door! He's amazing and lucky. And Smart!
More than 50 years ago when I was about 8 years old, my twin sister and I were approached by a man in a car within an alley. He called out to us and asked "Do you want to see something?" As I saw my twin sister walking closer to his driver side, I got scared, grabbed her by the hand and screamed "run"! We ran thru our neighbors backyard to the front, across the street to our house where my brothers (12 & 13 yrs old) were playing on the street. That man still in his car, had made a u turn to chase us down. That's when I screamed for my brother's, telling them there was someone creepy following us. My brothers started throwing rocks at the slow moving car - pretty sure it cracked a window. Man took off in his car, never bothered us again. Didn't report it to police, but I always knew my brothers and the Lord took care of us!
😢😢😢😢 That poor kid. He was so brave. I am happy he fought for his life so quickly. I am not his mother but I am so proud of him. All the way from Trinidad and Tobago.
