A video of Ellis County Sheriff Brad Norman cutting the patch off a fired deputy’s shoulder has drawn praise and criticism from locals who’ve watched it on the department’s Facebook page.
Skinner is a hiway pirate that breathes eats and sleeps thinking about getting Taps Act bootie out of your car. The Taps act is just legalized stealing.. That's what Skinner is about. We will vote for anyone but not Skinner.
You're obviously not a Texan Sheriff Skinner is a Crooked cop who lives off of civil assets forfeiture to the point all the police in the DFW area have a unusual amount of private airplane for themselves.
Was he convicted? People like you are what is wrong with America! You shit all over the Constitution when it suits you. Innocent until PROVEN guilty. America deserves better than people like you and this Sheriff!+
You can say what you want but as a retired correctional officer, I have no problem with this because it is a disgrace to have a brother/sister officer fall to the games inmates play. Today it was cigarette but once he broke law they had him and who knows what was next on the list to be brought in
I think that’s a really good point, once they have them, that’s it, they are are not going to leave him alone and will keep getting him to bring stuff in and he can’t say no
Every person breaking the law like this, deserves any kind of public humiliation you can be given, but no, nowadays it’s ahhh the poor criminal, don’t make him feel bad, don’t humiliate him. What is wrong with these people!!!!! I bet if one of these criminals did something directly to you, you’d be calling for his head on a platter!
Was he convicted? People like you are what is wrong with America! You shit all over the Constitution when it suits you. Innocent until PROVEN guilty. America deserves better than people like you and this Sheriff!
Nope that’s the way it’s suppose to go he is putting every he work with in harms way a it’s a cigarette today and phone tomorrow and phone is dangerous than bullet in that environment . Smh 🤦🏾♂️
There is no secret that COs Bring most of, if not all the contraband that makes it inside of the prisons. Most prison guards earn more by bringing contraband into the prison than what they make from their pay check. It is a very lucrative business as long as they are willing to except the consequences if he or she is caught. Yup COs bring it in all of the time. For a small fee of course😂🤣😂🤣 All jokes aside. If they are caught, the price they pay may be way more than what they bargain for. They run the risk of losing everything. It isn't worth it as far as I'm concerned....
There are rules for a reason. When you're held in higher regard you must be disciplined enough to take that responsibility on head first. The rules must remain BLACK & WHITE to maintain INTEGRITY, VIRTUE, and MORTALITY. Godspeed to anyone who serves in any facet that holds themselves according to these standards and continues to be a representation of this county's and state's values.
I'm with tha sheriff. This officer put all his coworkers at risk and was an insider threat and they thought they could trust and work with him! From my experience
How do you let them humiliate you on camera unless im getting a plea deal, im spitting in the sheriffs face cause you know hes smuggled some contraband when he did his dues as a CO
As soon as you bring in contraband, they own you. Tobacco today. Next week it's drugs, a gun or a cell phone to plan an escape. You're told the law when you're hired
Yeah, so, two things come to mind. (1) This seems like a publicity stunt and mimics a similar incident in nearby Wise County. (2) I can see a civil suit for intentional infliction of emotional distress. Sure, if the officer did wrong, he should be fired and charged. But the sheriff looks like an idiot here, too.
Inmates aren't allowed cigarettes because years ago OTHER inmates sued various states that second hand smoke was causing health issues-so they.... Banned tobacco
"All cops are corrupt pigs and can't be trusted. film the cops!" - Honest cop calls out and makes an example of a corrupt cop - "This shouldn't be made public, that poor guy!"
Shaming some is a two way street. Fire him or her charge them whatever. But to come home and find your family's been slauterd is hellava. Is ah hellav thing for some cigarettes or whatever. There's gonna be contraband in prison. There's not a jail on this earth that's drug free. 😂😂😂
How is this the Sheriff’s fault? This man has disgraced his uniform and violated his oath as a law enforcement officer! This was very justified and I’m proud of the Sheriff for making an example out of a crooked cop!
Yes it should have. At first I agreed with you but the more I thought about it we keep letting people get away with things and just quietly putting them in jail with no public shame or disgrace to back up that what they did is wrong. Also having a fear of looking very shameful in the Public's eyes is another reason to keep you from doing stuff. Psychologically this would be better for society
You are very wrong. The reason there is so much crime today is because punishments are neither effective or public. Singapore has very little crime, and the reason why is they will can your butt in front of everyone if you fk around.
That jail is trash and they will lock people up go the most minor offenses. It'd a racket. So I find it hypocritical for that officer to act so high and mighty. I think the inmates should be able to smoke like they use to. They are adults and since Ellis County is known for being a racket when it comes to tickets and locking people up, might as well make money off selling tobacco in there
