Guess what many symbols mean more then one thing. If I where to show you a swastika you would assume it symbolizes racism and hare, but show it to a hindu and he would see the mark of wellbeing used in prayers to rig veda (and in fact the term swastika comes from sanskrit, a holy language of the hindu), or show it to a buddhist and he would see it as a symbol for the buddas footsteps. So there is no "this is supposed to mean x so it can´t mean y" symbols mean different things to different people.

The neighborhood I used to live in has rainbows painted on every crosswalk. Triangle garland Pride flags hanging everywhere. 😮 Used to be a beautiful quaint neighborhood with lots of character now it looks like pride month all year round. Rainbow overload.
