That mail carrier didn’t even see em coming… only once they stopped. Poor guy was concentrating on his stops. If he had drawn, he’d have been shot. If he was carrying, they would’ve taken his firearm as well. This was the best outcome given the context of the situation.

The "African" part is announcing a bond or allegiance as if the heritage were more important than the current residence or national identity. The original comment you objected to made perfect sense to those that are just "American" without regard for lineage or baggage or complaints. The hyphen is self-imposed separatism.
This being a federal crime means a federal prison which could be hundreds of miles away from Chicago. And this is something criminals actually fear because they don’t get regular visits from family.

They used to carry, many years ago. Bring that back! Even onboard mail carrying planes, pilots carried. And the train engineers of mail carrying trains also carried, sometimes with additional armed personel. The pilot carrying mail were required to carry, and the mail train cars were protected by multiple armed personnel. And the guns were provided by USPS to theses workers
