One of the most beautiful opening pieces ever to come from a Final Fantasy game. Everything flows so well together and nothing tries to fight other instruments. Massive, massive respect to Uematsu-san for his work, and Arigato!
This game is still as incredible as when it was released 30 years ago, And even though I didn't personally play through the entire game I can still say that it was an incredible journey, I plan to play through the recent pixel remaster to finally finish this game.
What an epic game for the time. Games today can rely on impressive graphics, but this had a storyline and the job system is great. As a bassist, I really enjoy the prominent bass lines
FF5 is easily my favorite FF game of all time, and not just because of its job system. Its soundtrack, its unique cast of characters (and a main character that's not so-serious) and above all else that feeling of "adventure" (and crazy situations) throughout most of the game. If only we could have a more "light-hearted" story like this for FF17 and later...
@@KingStr0ng me too, but it's highly unlikely. Though there are other games that utilize full turn based in the 2.5D style they've been doing lately for games like Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy.
i literally vibe with FF5's theme the most, and i kinda look up to bartz when i was a kid while playing the gba version lol. im currently playing the gba version again as an adult. it's definitely an underrated main line FF game
This main theme is my favourite of the FF games I have played. It's the perfect balance of mystery, new discoveries as well as the seriousness of the conflict within this game. It also has some moments that make me remmeber the lighthearted moments within the game as well. A perfect track that encapsulates FF5's identity.
I will remember this because I played it during the best times in my life. I live in the USA, so my story may not be understood by others. It was February of 1999. I had stumbled into ROMs and emulators for the first time. I got to play a bunch of games that were not sold in the USA. I got to the Final Fantasy V translated ROM and had an amazing time. It was like getting a taste of forbidden fruit. I also played Famicom and Super Famicom games that sucked. I had such a great laugh at the Sailor Moon fighting games. I saw them as a cash grab and a poor attempt at Double Dragon and Street Fighter II. The memory of that song is so strong, I even remember the weather and time of day I was playing it. Just imagine waking up well rested. The weather is perfect. The sunrise is beautiful. That is what the time felt like.
Final Fantasy V theme, man the theme is so beautiful and 4 chosen of freelancer possesing a legendary warrior of light from all over the world. Knight, Thief, White Mage, Black Mage, Blue Mage, Monk, Paladdin, Time Mage, Dragon, Scholar, and Many more job. Those who use that ability would save the universe and the planet. Hoping that the world is save. This main theme and that game is feels like adventurus, becoming heroic, destined, and hope. This is such a great game
This should have been the main theme for every game after FF5. It perfectly sums up exactly what the FF series is about. Perilous, fun adventure and friendship.
I really do miss my Creative X-Fi card on which I did wonders to the sound and FF5 soundtrack in particular. It died from standard screech of death as other creative cards usually do 24/192 from X-Fi has NOTHING in common with 24/192 you can set in Realtek panel.
