I find it interesting some people’s first response is “why didn’t she leave?” when the video…the whole reason we’re discussing this right now starts with her trying to LEAVE.
Yet she stayed with him for two more years AFTER this incident. He didn’t have her chained up or anything. She had numerous opportunities where she could have called 911 and gotten away. Instead she continued to attend public events with him hand in hand smiling and doing interviews like everything was ok. Ain’t no d*ck in the world that good that I’m staying with a man who’s making my life miserable.
Yes, he blackmailed her with photos and videos of her doing s?xual things he forced her to do with male escorts. People should read her statement in her civil suit. An apology first and foremost needs to recognize the impact of one’s behavior on others’ lives (the victim), which he failed to do here choosing instead to highlight the actions he deems reflect remorse (professional help, god). Does that make sense?

When I tried to leave, he stalked me, kidnapped me, and then they say they are sorry and give you gifts, love bombing you. Then the abuse cycle repeats. She was involved with a Covert Narcissist who’s probably a sociopath too. My abuser was a Narcopath who was a convicted felon. I barely got out a live. He didn’t tell me he was an ex con until 4 months into our relationship. I’m glad she got out. She’s going to need a lifetime of therapy.
That was after an argument, she would have been back with him whether he dragged her back or not. She seemed tom be able to leave in 2018 just fine when she was ready to get out of the house he gave her and give back the cars.... Thats from her own complaint. She left becasue they justice was no longer worth the squeeze for her.
She actually came back after this incident after a couple hours! He threatened her! She tried leaving him multiple times. He blew up a car and threatened her family! It’s all in the documents!

I am surprised The View didn't speak on this much sooner when Cassie first filed the lawsuit (and Diddy settled less than 24hrs later). Diddy is not sorry - he is embarrassed he got caught. He has been gaslighting the media and fans for years. Well - the video doesn't lie.
He was what you call caught in 4K. Well, the security camera's quality was not exactly 4K, but he was caught on camera nevertheless. The only thing he could say at this point was that he was sorry, so he is clearly only sorry because he got caught. Another thing is that he says he takes responsibility, but he really is not. He spent so much money to avoid taking responsibility. If he really wants to take responsibility and be a better person, a good step would be working with law enforcement who are investigating into other possible crimes he has committed. He does not appear to be willing to do that.
He only apologized because he got caught. He could've apologized, atoned for his horrific actions years ago, but now that his reputation is in the gutter and it's affecting his pockets, he decides to be publicly remorseful? I believe in both forgiveness and justice.

So there was an 18 year difference instead of a 20 year difference. The crime is the physical assault inflicted on her, not her being of legal age to have consensual contact with him.
I don’t think they covered this any less than any other major talk show or news show. They talked about it when Cassie filed her lawsuit, then waited for more information to emerge.

Why didn't she try to leave? She was trying to leave in this video. She couldn't leave. This is probably not the only time she tried to leave and was stopped, literally stopped through force. Many women who leave are killed while trying to leave. Watch this video, we can all tell that if she fought back more and tried to leave by fighting back, greater force would have been used on her.

I don't think she gets as much heat anymore. Sunny & Ana were incredibly hard on her but after they got spoken to about it, they def don't bring it up anymore, or throw it in her face. Joy will occasionally bring it up but it's def not a dig like the other two would do.

As someone who has worked in the field of family violence for years these levels of abuse dont happen as a once only. Abuse builds up over time. I also question why the hotel had security cameras but did hotel security check to see if this young woman was ok. This is why its important we speak up for those who cant or dont speak up for themselves.
