This video is part of a series of videos created by Jacob West Ltd a real estate company in Accra-Ghana, to show people some of the key and interesting area in the capital. The series is aimed at giving people who are interested in seeing certain areas in Accra the chance to do so on RU-vid.

I walked the grounds of Labone Secondary School almost 50 years ago. Lots of precious memories. I went from Form one to Upper Six and attend church across the street from the main entrance. Thanks for sharing and bringing back memories. I have not lived in Ghana for a very Long time. I reside in Maryland. Blessings

That is what we are trying to achieve with our Video tour series, to show Accra to Ghanaians who are living outside but wish to see some places. Good video -- you can walk in Abelempke, East Legon like where Americaa House, A and C mall is, Cantonments, Asylum Down, Ridge, even Tesano -- Tesano is a very nice area with some beautiful houses. Jah Bless

Get people to collect the dust. Togo's coastal ECOWAS road has sweepers keeping it in top shape for example

Thanks for sharing this video but unfortunately Labone is too expensive for most young professional people in the diaspora who want to buy land and build in Accra. What do you all think of Santeo? It seems like a good balance in terms of niceness and affordability. Wonderful people of Jacob West can you please explore the area and post a video sometime? Not the gated communities like Paradise and Redrow but the real Santeo near the lake. Thanks a lot!

We have received similar requests from people in the diaspora and we are currently working on making a video tour of the some parts of the East Legon Hills area because we know it is an up and coming area which would be a good investment for anyone who wants to own a property in Accra.

Perhaps it’s because of the undeveloped roads but even though there is so much diaspora money and interested people looking at Santeo, none of the real estate agents post any videos of the area.

I agree, we really need to see more of East Legon Hills. None of the real estate companies seem to want to post videos of the area. The only ones you see are gated community promotion videos like Shandonnia or Redrow. Perhaps it’s because of the bad roads that’s why no one shows videos but we need to see exactly what the area is like before investing. Hopefully Jacob West will be kind enough to help us.

Thank you for the comment Mr Mo. Areas like Labone, Cantonments, Osu, North Ridge, West Legon and East Legon areas are seen as affluent areas so living there is very expensive because the standard of living in those areas are more than what the average Ghanaian can afford.

@@Jacobwestgh Affluence with chocked opened gutters, pot-holed streets, no green spaces? Sometimes one gets the feeling that landlords and developers in Ghana quote prices on a whim. Some of the your target market, the diasporans, live in areas which would be classified as "super super affluent" in terms of Ghanaian standards and pay just about what you're asking for, for these nearly run down areas that you show to us. Be realistic, those places are not worth the dollars you're asking for.

Agreed the price is outrageous. they like to con the Diaspora hence why they are listing it dollars when Ghana uses Cedis. Africans think we are stupid.

Geographically, Osu is separated from Labone by the Ring Road and is in a different Municipal District. From our understanding, Labone and Labadi are in the same Municipal District (La Dade Kotopon Municipal District) so we can say Labone is a suburb of Accra and it very close to La/Labadi because they are in the same District.
