Since the channel started, I've promised a video and series about my catio, but I got swallowed up with self-cleaning litter box testing and other things. The series is still coming, but I wanted to put out a video showing you around the catio as it is right now, as I did say that my next video would be about the catio!
Please let me know if the comments are what you would like me to cover in more depth in the series.

My great aunt billy converted her hen house when she got old into a cat house. She turned each hen box into a cat bed. She lived in the country and there were lots of feral cats around. Only two or three became house cats but all the others had a safe dry place to sleep. In winter she kept it warm with a small potbelly stove. Many would come on her porch but few would come inside.

I once visited the ruined remains of Babylon and its Hanging Gardens in Iraq. It's hard to picture even with a very rich imagination that that place of rather unassuming size and potential would've been all that magnificent in its heyday. Many historical places from thousands of years ago appeared opulent to their contemporaries, who described them in glowing terms, but they would probably look ho-hum to us.

Great for people, but I think he has too many lights. I've seen videos filmed in night vision mode to see what their cats are up to at night & it seems that they are more active & like it better than the daytime also sleeping less, they are nocturnal after all... I think this joint is beautifully perfect! He can always put in a desk with a poll set out with some pens in order to get the cat's opinions😂❤!!!

I've shared with with my friend as he has his own catio but he's worried it looks too much like a bare bones prison. He's put catfriendly flowers in planters but he was wondering what to do to make it more attractive for both him, any visitors (like me) and of course the most important people; the cats. Yours just looks like an extension of your home, just another room at a glance, it's fabulous! And it looks like the cats love it, very good job!

I enjoy watching any cat enjoy themselves but I especially enjoyed seeing Percy just lying about, snoozing peacefully, without a care in the world. Ancient old cats are extra special. Also, that is a truly fabulous catio and this video is the perfect introduction. Appreciate the update. 🙏

I have one of those electronic cat flaps that detects the microchip of the cats. My cats were convinced this was actually a portal to hell and nothing to do with it until I took the batteries out

Hi cat lady here, I love it . I have 23 rescue babies some with special needs but I'm taking in two more babies 5 weeks old mum's not looking after them in my out door cattery area . I want to do what you've done to my house cattery it joins my house garage and granny flat up cats can go in and out of the places we use them to . No cat goes out in the street . But what you have done is exactly what want to do . I spend more time out with them than my lounge room. The cats use it more than me . I'm English but have lived in Australia for 55 years now . My family rescue but I'm running out of cattery areas . God bless Karen and family rescue NSW Australia 🐈😸😻🌞🐨🦘🇭🇲

I love cats. Only have an indoor Maine Coon atm, but when I move into my new home I want to have an outdoor area for him and maybe introduce him to a new friend. Wow! So lovely,...I wish I could live in your cat paradise. Great use of of solar lighting. What a fun place to get away to and possibly cuddle with your cats. I'm down to just one cat, these days. I getting too old to have more than one. Of course my cat Sophie, is more the aloof type. Not the case with the ones in the past, who I played with all the time, and they liked sleeping next to me or on me. The cutest little buggers!

Looks great Philip, though I'm sure the cats don't quite understand your obsession with aesthetics 😺.. I wish I could add the fake foliage and all those lights to my catio, but here in tropical Australia everything becomes home to tiny messy spiders and their webs very quickly. We also have Asian Gecko infestations (attracted by the moths that are attracted by the light) which while provide hunting opportunities to the cats, are also messy. Obviously I can't use pesticides or poison traps.

What a wonderful space you've made them. They look so comfy! I'm very much looking forward to your series, I'm planning of doing something similar and I need all the inspiration and tutorials I can get. About what to cover in depth, I would like to hear about your ideas, what worked out and not. Do you change something during the winter? What are the plans for v5? Where will the birdfeeder go when you are on v9? What you did with the tree is pure genius. We also need comments from the residents themselves of course. I'm sure AI can translate.
