I like that Vidia is basically the first fairy Tink interacts with, as Vidia is the one who brought her to the pixie dust tree.

honestly at first i was on tinkerbells side but in the first movie she became quickly so annoying that i completely understood vidia sometimes. tink had absolute insane character development though

Rewatching this as an adult, she's actually not that mean or evil. She's just trying to do her job, and do it seriously, then this baby fairy who she doesn't have time for, ruins her job by surprising her and making a mess out of the pots and pollen. Then Tink goes on and ruins everyone else's jobs by pestering them to give her time to switch her talents instead of minding her own business. If anything, Vidia is the most mature when it came to handling Tink. She has no time to sugarcoat things like Silvermist, and she's not afraid to stomp her foot when needed. And when she publicly mocked Tink in front of Pixie Hollow when Tink proposed her industrial revolution to save spring, Vidia *has a point*. Who are they to just trust a newborn fairy who isn't even confident in her own talents, and who has a history of disaster, to just fix everything overnight? And when she outs herself by accidentally admitting she's been messing around with Tink's head publicly, she doesn't dilly dally with her punishment. She goes off to do as the queen said and fixes her mess immediately. In Great Fairy Rescue, she blows a gust of wind that traps Tink in the fairyhouse, yes? There's an argument to be made, but I stand by the fact that Tink going carelessly into the house was entirely Tink's fault, and the locking was just Vidia's way of teaching Tink about consequences. I'd say it's not Vidia's fault Tink got caught because she was still inside the house, not even bothering to listen to Vidia when she was warning her about Lizzie. In fact, Tinkerbell reveals herself to Lizzie by finally trying to open the door. It was all Tinkerbell's fault, but Vidia literally went out of her way to still save Tink, because she knows how important one annoying fairy is to the entire Pixie Hollow community. I wouldn't say it's good character development, but more of a great reveal about Vidia's character, because nothing really changed about her, except that she let herself be vulnerable enough to work with her community instead of being the high and mighty fast-flying fairy she has to be to do her job. I just wish she didn't have to hang out with the rest of the Disney Fairies because I expected her to be more of an acquaintance to Tink, one who finally respects her even when she heavily disagree with Tink's methods. Kind of like Nyx to Fawn, tbh.

I feel like Videa needs therapy and Tinkerbell needs some accommodations for that clearly neurospicey brain. They could be such good friends with some third parties helping them communicate.

Vidia and Tinkerbell are more similar than they let on because they're both outspoken and short tempered which is probably why they clash on occasion. Vidia is basically tink from the original peter pan movie.

Something about vidia's redemption I didn't quite grasp is how quickly the other fairies forgive her and act as if they've been friends forever even though it's implied vidia was kind of a loner before tink's arrival not to mention she didn't really show signs of apologizing for her past actions which not even tink brings up despite being really mean to her in the first film. But when tink's friends learn she trapped her in the fairy house they're all understanding and don't blame her for it reminding her that tink gets into trouble all by herself and that the situation could have been worse if she wasn't present. That to me is interpreted as vidia being a popular character in universe as well as in the fandom.

Vidia started off messing with Tink just to get her out of her hair and be a bit of a jerk. Don't forget Tink almost got her killed on a couple of occasions, but she knew she couldn't leave Tink in danger, she had a good heart and risked her life to get her home, even pushing her out of the way when Lizzie's father tried to catch her. She just needed some direction, and Queen Clarion making her round up those thistles seemed to have made her less miserable in The Lost Treasure, because she learned her own actions had consequences like everyone else in both the second and third movies

I think a lot of people hate on tinkerbell. Now I'm no big fan of her, I just like her but that's pretty much it. However I think she acts the way she acts because she is very young compared to the other fairies if you think about it and she is very naive and overall acts like a kid. I think these movies also happen long longggg before the Peter pan movies so it would tie in pretty well I think
