The Concert (or, The Perils of Everybody). This movement is fondly called the "Mistake Waltz". Choreographу by Jerome Robbins Music: Waltz in E Minor by Frederic Chopin
This is just so impressive even though it was supposed to be funny I was just mind blown by their flawless movements and the art of it. I've never seen a show like this before. It's new and mesmerising to me.
Imagine that maybe just maybe this was supposed to be a good dance and they all forgot something and it turned out to be funny and so ppl though it was on purpose
What’s funny is normally even if you’re supposed to purposely mess up, it’s still all practiced before-hand in a certain way, so there’s still pressure in these types of performances
i remembered watching this with my childhood bestfriend when were like 5 or 6, and we laughed SO hard and this is like a remembrance of our friendship and well never forget this😭
The way the last girl moved into the position of the others so slowly as if saying, " Okay they didn't recognise my mistake yet, lemme do this slowly and no one will notice"😂😂
Has anyone actually acknowledged how good the piano player was. Edit: why have I got so much hate on this comment, in most performances I have been in or gone to people usually acknowledge the pianist so I thought I might as well
THIS IS ART ❤️ It must have been quite impossible for the girls a long time when you're drilled of synchrony and when your lifechallenge is to reach the stadium of perfection.
Oh my goodness I was a child dancer in the RBNZ Nutcracker last year... I was just like that girl with glasses. I was scolded by a coach after.. One time in rehearsal, I didn’t hear the teacher properly and I was doing a pirouette en dedans while everyone else was doing a pirouette en dehors! It looked like a mess and I was almost cut from the number.
Aiskxrimu You danced with RBNZ in the nutcracker last year? That’s really cool, I was going to audition when they needed some extras but I was to nervous. What did you play?
Lol they are so professional that I couldn’t notice the humour. Rather I was amazed by their smooth individual moves. Now that’s a tough job…. Being a ballet dancer, that too a good one and trying to make people laugh! People would find it difficult to notice humour because it’s overshadowed by their amazing flexibility
This is so genius and beautiful and funny and it still shows how hard they worked on this, the details r amazing, I enjoyed this so much I would’ve ruined the show with my laughs if I was actually there😂
That was me and my ballet troupe, at the beginning of rehearsals for the upcoming performance season. I accidentally fell over and knocked down the row like dominoes.
level one: actually making uncoordinated mistakes level 100: doing the dance correctly level 1000: Making perfectly timed mistakes like these guys did ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME LAUGH
Excellent, who ever developed the idea, then choreographed it deserves a medal, unlike so much of that genre it oversteps the boundaries into total farce, but this piece has got the balance spot on. Brilliant.
imagine if you have a dance teacher and be like "today we are gonna make a comedy dance skit, make mistakes in dance as much as possible" it would be a best day ever xD
This is only the middle part. The beginning and ending are male dancers picking up and moving the female dancers around like pieces of a puzzle. Very funny.
I think this is definitely the best Mistake Waltz I've ever seen on yt.😂 The other ones they made the mistakes so "on purpose" but this one they actually made people think they really "made" the mistakes😂 it's so natural and clean(and funny at the same time)😂if u know what I mean
The fact what being a professional ballet dancer needs not just talent at dancing but you also need to be a good actress even a pro one.I am now a professional dancer but not in ballet,in folk dances and I understand how hard it is to act while dancing and to express the emotions, funny things and the situation to viewers. These ladies done a very good job and I really enjoy to look at this performance until now
I feel like this is the perfect dance to teach beginner dancers in those summer ballet classes and they have those culmination performances, since there's no pressure to make mistakes, in fact it's welcome
It's honestly hilarious to think about how much time, rehearsal and effort they put into making mistakes. This is what we (dancers) do in order to provide entertainment for the public.
This has made my day. I could not stop smiling nor laughing trough the entire video. All of them are incredibly talented and skilled. Kudos to their teacher, the choreographer and of course, to the beautiful ladies. The girl with the glasses was my favorite. The last slow change of pose at the end made it just perfect!!!
Favorite is the one girl who missed the group and was going back and forth so perfectly clueless...and they all rejoin her and pick up right where she is! too funny!
