Thank you for sharing this video. Very nice to end your tour of Vienna with Schubert's Ave Maria. Censorship was rife in the good old days of Mozart. While the Magic Flute is always full of fun and entertaining, as I undrstand, when ever the servants got married, there was an expectation that the bride spend her wedding night with the master of the house first. As I understand, Cosi Fan Tutte was not popular with the Nazis. As for Marriage of Figaro, its worth a read into musical history. My favorite Mozart's opera is Don Giovanni.

You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Ending the tour of Vienna with Schubert's Ave Maria felt like a fitting tribute to the city's rich musical heritage. While I'm not very familiar with musicals or operas, I find it intriguing to learn about them through your perspective. Thanks for sharing.

@@mindfultrek No worries. European Operas are not everyone cup of tea. Beaumarchais's Mariage of Figaro, with its frank treatment of class conflict, was first banned in Vienna, but the talent of Mozart was such the Opera lives today as a constant reminder of his genius.

Thanks. I learned that 'The Marriage of Figaro' was banned because it was critical of class distinctions. It's amazing how mindsets have changed over the years.

@@mindfultrek Yes. and just when everyone thought they could put their feet up and champagne away, Beethoven comes along with his 3rd Sympony, jumping forward to a new era.
