Vientiane Lao New Year 2023 

Sa bai dee/Hello everybody!
The Lao New Year (Pi Mai) celebration is a three-day event that consists of Lao techno music, the downing of Beer Lao, street parties and the splashing/throwing/shooting water at people as a sign of good luck and blessing.
In this video, I take you on the journey of what it's like to experience the Lao New Year, including the parade on the main street of Vientiane, the tasting of khao ghee Lao (traditional Lao dish grilled sticky rice with egg) and for the main event we partied at my Grandmothers place/Uncles place/Cousins place in Sykhai Laos before travelling down the main road of Vientiane.
If you love to party, drink beer and shoot water at people, it would be worthwhile adding Lao New Year to your to-do list!
