For more than 70 years, Cuba and Vietnam are somehow Brother-Countries. That is also reflected in the many official Habanos Stores which you can find in Hanoi and Ho-Chi-Minh-City. There you can find a rare and fine selection of Cuban Cigars (Habanos) outside of Cuba.

Wow I thought our truck driver from Vietnam was bs’ing. He brought me two montecristo cigarillos and opened a pack of a Cohiba cigarillos and gave me two. Thought they were fake but now I’ll post them !

not necessarily, cuban cigars are known to actually improve as they age but may peak after 7-10 years or sooner in some cases. The nicotine strength diminishes each year but usually flavors become more pleasant & complex. After decades in some cases cigars start to lose flavor all together. But varies depending on type of cigar & how it is being preserved.

They have to be kept in a humidor, used for climate control. Cigars are subject to contamination from mold, bugs, humidity, pollution and other factors. Some people age them in humidors. If you are spending that much for a box of cigars you want to protect them.

Please follow Official Habanos Stores anywhere you go : Habanos Specialist, La Casa del Habano, Habanos Lounge 🙏🏼 those are appointed and controlled by officials distributors in the country/territory (never fake, never parallel)

You have 3 official stores in Hanoi: Habanos Specialist Giang Vo, 8:56 Habanos Specialist Co Tan next to Opera (which is shown on this video), Habanos Specilaist Mega Than Long You have 1 more in Ho Tram Intercontinental Casino Resort And 6 locations in Ho Chi Minh including inside a Domestic Airport on Departure

Tripa corta (short filler) not worth smoking. But the long filler habanos are divine. The milder cigars have the most enchanting aromas and the fuller cigars have the best flavours. No other tobaccos come close to the cuban habanos. An Opus X is really good but I'll have a Cohiba or Trinidad over it. Davidoff cigars are very well constructed but have blends I do not care for. Their tobaccos are not particularly nice. Davidoff = overpriced & overrated disapointments.
