I miss vietnam...we visited last november 2019 lucky before covid....we spend so much fun and we were able to take a boat and see mekong river....wish to see vietnam after this pandemic
Thanks for making this video. I grew up in Singapore in the sixties before it was turned into mainly an urban area. This village life is very similar to my teenage years in Singapore and a lot of the old people there are nostalgic for the less urban lifestyle. The big difference is with the colorful clothes. In the sixties the elders wore the more traditional blue pinstripe smocks and black satin trousers that had been worn in China for thousands of years for everyday use. Also the tin roofs instead of banana leaf roofs are a big improvement as there are less insects. We had lots of ants and creepy crawlies like millipedes and colorful beetles and spiders.They also had more colorful embroidered clothes for special occasions. This video brings back happy memories for me.

I lived in VN over 30 yrs a go in the Hoa Tinh, Vinh Long provin very similar to this video. We lived in a mud hut right on the canal and boy we were dirt poor. This brought back my old memory and yearn to visit VN one day. Thanks you for sharing.

I have enjoyed the privilege of visiting Viet Nam many times, and this look at rural life, with the delightful happy people of the countryside, is very humbling when I realise all the blessings we enjoy living on the UK, and we are shamed by our own complaining in spite of the benefits we enjoy. Seem like this town has so much fun because we like to see or to tour the very old town and old fashion like real life back in Laos and Vietnam I am Hmong in America I always support our peoples back in Vietnam thank you.

It was my first eggsotic thing I heard on that old TV. still remember my fascination with those names mentioned on evening news like Sai Gon, Ha Noi, Da Nang and so on.

Loved everything about your country and was planning to go back again, but Covid happened late 2019. I worked and lived in Vietnam for 4 years, the best years of my life. The people are honest, hardworking, diligent and affable. The country is rich with Coad and minerals. Giving prices in US Dollars is misgiving. People do not earn in Dollars. They earn Dong and that is the reality. They are quite poor but they manage.

It looks so much simpler yet the people are all working hard to provide food etc. in other words. At least in Rural towns they seem not to have so many conveniences. They live off the land. No big supermarkets. Not a lot of cars Hard work for good food! I just love it!
