Outstanding ! I am in tear’s ! What Moving Stories! When You talk about those officers who served in WW2 and were with the F-15 program I am Reminded of Two Friends , Father and Son. I met John DiCarlo in grade school in the mid 1960’s we went through school together and He joined the Marine Corp’s served as a Embassy Marine in Kuwait and after Going to Berkley had a career as a State Department Security Officer. When John first came to Our school He had just come from Okinawa where His Dad had been stationed. They had just relocated to California. I asked Him Why He had lived there and what His Dad did. He said His Dad was a Colonel in the Air Force and during WW2 had flown transport’s over the Himalaya’s . He said His dad was in charge of maintenance of the X15 . I can count on My hand the number of times I actually Spoke with His Dad Colonel Samuel DiCarlo. Sam had a kind of Audie Murphy quality about Him as did His son John. Sam was the Kind of Guy who inspired Me from the moment I met Him I knew that He rose through the ranks because He had true leadership qualities. A friendly guy who anyone would want to work with and for. Whenever I hear Dick Jonas and the Rowdies I think of Him because Sam and Dick must have come from the same part of the Country they both sound the same both voice and accent. I never served in the military . For many like Me our relatives who served in Wars are Our Hero’s My Many Uncles served in Combat and Non combat roles. There are a lot of us who never served but now looking back wish that We had. I love history but grew up working in construction driving trucks and heavy equipment paving roads etc. But i really enjoy the Music of Dick Jonas and The Rowdies , Sky Soldier Songs, Submariner Songs, John Edmonds Troopie Songs and all similar music . My taste is wide ranging.

Great interview

This is, and I hope George is still with us when I am watching this, the best interview from a Psychological/Human Spirituality perspectives I have EVER seen in almost 50 years of study. AH, that I was young enough to go back and use this to inspire a Doctoral Dissertation! I pray some one, or even two, somehow watch it and use it... And the brother's wife was as brilliant as my own, God rest her soul! This is one of my favorite interviews ever [Love the technique... since the Greeks] . PS subscribed because of this work. IF I'd been professor, or was somehow still, I'd assign this as must view! Great work!

AARs were probably very good lessons for the military, however, the politicians again try to take over our great military leaders' jobs. Same as Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Great Interview, George is a true hero and leader.

I read George's book recently, 'Cheating Death' - sorry to report, he may have been an accomplished pilot but as a writer he is as dull as ditch water. I gave up on it half way through.
