Seems like he only streams to gain money. Shame. Not sure though, but I don't like that.
NOTE - There is no hatred involved in this video. This is purely an educational/instructional video on how to determine if someone is a viewbotter/is viewbotting/ or is being viewbotted.
Viewbotters are toxic to the twitch community and actually ruin it for people who are trying to stream legitimately. If you do spot a twitch viewbotter, take the following steps:
1) Inform the streamer. Ask them if they are aware if they're being viewbotted or if they know what a viewbot is. If they are unaware, tell them to report it to Twitch immediately. If they deny any allegations, report it yourself to Twitch Support.
2) Report the user: / portal. .
3) Gather evidence and create a forum post: / portal. .
Make your post under Current Issues/News or Legal.
4) Spread the news to anyone in their stream, including their moderators, as well as on social media. Contact @TwitchSupport if you can.

Alcohol Arcade Not donations, we are beyond that. Please refrain from attacking once again. I am asking for the 3,000 alleged followers that switched to your channel during that time after the charity livestream.

Alcohol Arcade You still haven't proven anything to me. Evidence will always outweigh words. I have provided mine. Still waiting for yours. Live-feeds show that your channel did not grow significantly until well-over a week had gone by from the end of the charity livestream (which would be the 11th, since that was the day booked on the website) : gyazo.com/bd18c3b0ac540e95f75c65bcd54e5a8b This does not make much sense, growth would occur during the stream, since your channel is being promoted on the stream.

1 way that I know he is veiwbotting is that he has 11 players in his mps on mineplex with 170 viewers. On the other hand datowl has 80 mps players and 120ish viewers. C the difference?

People who stream games should be done only as a hobby, and not as a full-time job. It's extremely lazy, sitting on your ass and playing games.Grow the F up, and find a real job. And if you are looking to be partnered with some random company to increase your income, you should have your gaming devices taken away... it should be about the gameplay and nothing else; that goes for Subscribers, too.

Sadly this wont make a difference anymore, as twitch doesnt ban for view/follow botting because there is no way to prove if they are doing it themselves or if someone is doing it to them, sucks really but if they exposed themself or something they would be banned but otherwise not :/

Im Dewy Yes, very true. It's hard to prove that someone is viewbotting without essentially seeing their panel on stream. It's very unfortunate, however Twitch is doing their best to spot channels that do this consistently. I'm in hopes that they'll announce something soon about these channels.

I don't understand it's not your priority to watch over twitch. There are people who work on twitch, and they will or will not ban his stream... I don't see why you should care. You could easily just flag & move on. And I know for a fact you don't go and watch others streams because you stream yourself, so it makes it suspicious that you only care about what people do "negative" which is a bad thing.. Please think before posting, since Twitch has a v v v hard control over their twitchers.

mumzel99 Of course it's not my priority to look over Twitch. I don't work for Twitch. However, it is nice to bring light to those who are in the wrong and do these wrongs on the daily. It's not okay for smaller streamers who are constantly pushed down already. Viewbotters lead to them not getting any significant recognition. If you're not on the first page, you typically won't get noticed. Twitch is a hard place and viewbotters only make it harder for smaller streams. The fact that I gather evidence doesn't hurt anyone, only helps people realize what is going on.

At the same time, I open other streams and look if someone is potentially viewbotting. ItzPhantom Parker did this to raise money for his MineCon trip so he could meet his fans and attend an event. He doesn't do these things on the daily either (doesn't say "$1 for a signed minecraft toy"), it was a one time or very rare occurrence.

Alcohol Arcade The fact isn't the amount of donations coming in. The fact is you're using this in attempt to get donations. Twitch is a livestreaming service that you shouldn't just see as something to gain some sort of monetary value. I was pointing out you seem often to bring money into the equation, when it really is not about the money when you stream.

I dont understand how they can have the energy to create all these accounts, fix all the bots, and all the other hassle to do all this stuff just to stream while desperately trying to grt fake views. I stream with only around 5 people and at most 10 and it's actually fun playing a game with people that actually likes to watch (or listen) and it's even more rewarding when you have followers that becomes a regular viewer of yours even if it's just a 1-2

Honestly i can get why people view bot. The odds of people scrollin down the long list of streams to find their small stream is really low. And the thought to make a good living of twitch is a dream for a lot of gamers. Not trying to defend view bots btw.

plus 456% a month. Ok lol. I've got no speculation on this, but does this guy stream on Mineplex at all, if he does lemme know. I completely agree. I have the same perspective as you do on streaming, videos, etc. Should be based off the community you're a part of, and for the fun. If you look at most of the bigger names that's what they do. Best of luck cleaning up twitch, quite the challenge. Nothing you can't handle though, great video.

SamitoD There is TNK who is TankedPvP who streams Mineplex. That's the only one that I really know of. But yeah streams should definitely go in depth for Twitch.

• Gerardo • Potentially, or they have been followed/view botted. If it frequently happens and you see accounts similar to the ones I showed in the video in his chat (similar casing by the name), then yes the possibility for viewbotting is there and could be on his part. But once again, it is hard to prove.

I never intended for them to attack you, just simply take a look at your channel to see if you potentially were breaking TOS. If you're not breaking TOS, then you probably shouldn't care this much because you would be right and you would have nothing you needed to prove to me.

no, views don't = watch time, having a botnet to bomb a video with views will only give the impression that the video is popular, its the same with like botting.
