A great performance on behalf of the Daylight. You have done a great job with the e spec. I wouldn't worry to much about the J class engine spec. Especially considering it was made by Steve at K&L

@@Jones3DModelingClub 🤔... Oh well if it works it works. The settings of the locomotive itself on other parts may contribute to a little extra slowness but that would be hard pressed to fix. On a second note I have found a whistle for 611 that I find to be better than that of the K&L one. I will make a vid with it tomorrow.;-)
The J Class will not catch up with the GS4 because the GS4 has 80 inch drivers and the J Class has 70 inch drivers. Norfolk & Western chose smaller drivers because it valued tractive effort over top speed.
@@AngelaAlora I’ve looked into this a little more. The J Class also benefitted from lightweight rods and roller bearings (only 2 GS4s had roller bearings, and they were usually referred to as GS5) so the top speed was the same, despite the smaller diameter drivers on the J Class. Seems the J Class had it all- acceleration and high speed!
