Thanks a lot! I think it is much closer to reality, isn't it? GS-4 towing 850 tons capable to hit 80-90 mph on level track but only can reach 100 mph on negative gradient...(thinking.gif) :P

@@Jones3DModelingClub 🤔... Oh well if it works it works. The settings of the locomotive itself on other parts may contribute to a little extra slowness but that would be hard pressed to fix. On a second note I have found a whistle for 611 that I find to be better than that of the K&L one. I will make a vid with it tomorrow.;-)

@@AngelaAlora I’ve looked into this a little more. The J Class also benefitted from lightweight rods and roller bearings (only 2 GS4s had roller bearings, and they were usually referred to as GS5) so the top speed was the same, despite the smaller diameter drivers on the J Class. Seems the J Class had it all- acceleration and high speed!

The GS4 has 80 inch drivers. The J class has 70 inch drivers. I doubt it would catch up.
