I have a Viewsonic px700 and the bulb is at 8 thousand hours and the projector keeps going into safe mode I've taken the Whole case off and cleaned everything with air and it worked for a mouth, But now it's doing it again (Turns on for 30 seconds then safe mode) Should I rest the Lamp hours ? Or do you think it's a Bad Temperature sensor ? When it's working it's still Super Bright so I don't think it's the bulb.

Wow! 8,000 hours and no noticeable dimness is pretty crazy. When you say you are going into "safe mode" do you mean that the error light indicators are kicking on? If so what are the lights doing? That will get us to the root of the problem.

@@jaspertronics I power up the projector 30 seconds to a minute later the screen go's black and the Red Bulb light comes on. This happened about a month ago I cleaned it with air and it worked for about a month. I'm thinking it's a Bad Temperature sensor or the projector can read the hours on the bulb and thinks it's done.
