he has been with us for a long while, it hit harder, i honestly started to cry a little when i saw the live premiere

I had a feeling axol was gonna die and when he did i didnt even cry i just got very mad,axol was one of my favorite characters,but now hes gone,may he rest in peace

Plus, he only got killed in Axol’s body, not his original form. Also, he’s something beyond their dimension, so there’s a possible chance that SMG0 would return, and maybe alongside Axol, since Axol is possibly now a part of SMG0

Every death in a story has a purpose, even if it hurts, we need to let go and move on and let the dead rest instead of forcing them to come back.

@@BassGSothertype here's the story at least what I think smg0 once lived a peaceful life in his own universe with his avatar but an unknown event happened where he had to kill his avatar causing his universe to be destroyed after that he went on a universe destroying spree in order to gather the resources needed to create a new universe

I agree with you. While I had my own theories, I didn't consider Zero and "the virus" to be two different entities. It is a logical idea, and it definitely supports the guess that I have made: SMG1 and SMG2 are going to be twist villains. If you compare the timelines presented by One and Two with the events that actually occurred, you will see major red flags. SMG1 and SMG2 first appear in "The Pursuit of Happiness". They are introduced as weird hobos that worship "4" as their savior. They then appear in "Mario's Bed and Breakfast", where they are seen residing in the hotel. They don't bother to interact with SMG4, even though he is in the building with them. During the 10th Anniversary, they try to warn SMG4 about Zero multiple times, but by the time they get to him it is too late. They then proceed to stand back and spout gibberish while the crew takes on corrupted memes, and only save them after SMG3, SMG4, and Mario are taken. They tell the crew that Zero is a hostile virus from another universe, and that the only way to beat him is with a USB. They also provide vague information about Avatars, saying that Zero will destroy them and their universe if the Avatar is destroyed. SMG1 and SMG2 then lead the crew into the Dark Web to save the others, despite having NO INFORMATION about Zero's location. From there, they manage to trap Zero - and themselves - in SMG3's USB. In "The Other Universe", Mario and SMG4 see SMG1 and SMG2 in their world. They partake in the usual SMG shenanigans with their Avatar (Spudnick) until Zero arrives. He swats One and Two away before grabbing and killing Spudnick. They slightly corrupted, but otherwise show no sign of fear or damage. SMG2 is the only one that seems to have a significant reaction to the murder, but even then he only laments the adventures that he and Spudnick will never be able to go on. He then states that "Killing us won't fix what happened to you", implying that SMG1 and SMG2 were fully aware of Zero and the fate of his world, despite the fact that SMG3 and SMG4 had no idea that other SMGs even existed. One then proceeds to hold off Zero's true form, ALONE, while SMG2 corrals the residents of the universe into their USB. As SMG2 tries to leave, he is confronted by Zero. However, SMG1 shows up at the last second with Zero's USB and seals most of the corrupted SMG away, with only an arm escaping. This arm then tackles SMG1 and SMG2 into their USB, and it leaves. This implies that One, Two, and the refugees of their universe traveled to the Mushroom Kingdom while stuck in a confined area with ZERO OF ALL PEOPLE, and somehow managed to survive intact. Somehow, Zero then managed to crawl his way into the Dark Web and seize control of a castle. As SMG4 and Mario leave the USB, Zero's eye then forces Zero's USB to return to him. In "MARIOS OKAY MARIOS OKAY MARIOS OKAY MARIOS OKAY MARIOS OKAY MARIOS OKAY MARIOS OKAY", Zero throws SMG3, SMG4, and Mario into a mind torture simulator that resided in Three's USB. The trio are tormented until SMG1 and SMG2 arrive to help them break out with the use of "Meme Energy", an ability they had not displayed up until this moment. Despite having been trapped in a USB with Zero, AGAIN, they are seen to be perfectly fine. It is also shown that there were only three pods in the simulator, meaning that SMG1 and SMG2 found another way into the nightmare. They break out, and are confronted by Zero. In "The Missing Piece", SMG1 and SMG2 attempt to aid the crew against Zero. However, even though they had fought Zero several times before and had the backing of the entire SMG4 gang, Zero still prevailed in the end. Throughout the video, Zero seems to constantly switch between insane, evil, homesick, and remorseful. He wants peace, but he is willing to destroy an entire universe to get it. For a character who has up to this point been wrath incarnate, these surprisingly logical motivations seem somewhat out of place. In this video, WOTFI 2021, Zero begins his plan. However, he is thwarted by SMG3 and SMG4, and is momentarily distracted by SMG1 and SMG2 as they, YET AGAIN, fight him *alone*. Zero arrives at the finale, switching between his true form and "Ax0l". Throughout the Rap Battle, he is completely unhinged. As he goes to destroy SMG3 and SMG4, he is blocked by SMG1 and SMG2 who, *once again*, show up out of nowhere to save the day. Zero is ultimately "destroyed" (I use "destroyed" lightly, as there is no way he died that easily), and the universe is saved. SMG1 and SMG2 then depart with the USBs, leaving SMG3 and SMG4 without any form of instruction, guidance, or explanation. Hopefully you can see how shady these two seem now. They knew about Zero and his goals, and yet they waited until the last second to even ATTEMPT to contact SMG4. They have held their own against Zero off-screen on multiple occasions, and were only scarred by Spudnick's death. If I had to guess, they either work for or have created the aforementioned virus. They are responsible for the destruction of Zero's universe, and are the reason he is so demented. I suspect that Zero will reveal himself again (and maybe fragments of Axol will be with him), and that he will be a recurring antagonist/ally for the crew like SMG3 is/was. Eventually, his psychoses will recede enough for him to recount what actually happened, and he will aid the crew against the Virus during WOTFI 2023. Why 2023, you may ask? During an SMG4 iceberg video, it was brought up that each Arc's villain represented one of the 7 Deadly Sins: Waluigi represents Pride. After a lifetime of rejection, he finally snaps and tries to conquer the world to appease his shattered ego. Bob represents Greed. He pushes all of his friends away in an attempt to earn material satisfaction. Francis represents Lust. He was willing to kill just so he could have his own Harem of obedient anime women. SMG3 represents Envy. After a lifetime of living in SMG4's shadow, he grew bitter and megalomaniacal. Zero represents Wrath. He was wronged, corrupted against his will; he hated everything uncorrupted, as their very existence stood as a mockery to his torment. Melony could very well be the next Arc "Villain": Sloth. After a year of trying to cope with Axol's death, she may sinks= into a downward spiral that drives her away from her friends. This could be a very different WOTFI, as it would be used as a distraction for Melony rather that an all-out battle. This would likely be WOTFI 2022. The Virus would definitely represent the seventh and final Sin: Gluttony. It finally arrives, attempting to consume the Mushroom Kingdom. The crew teams up with Zero to fight it, and win at a cost. This could be WOTFI 2023. Finally, SMG1 and SMG2 would be revealed as the actual villains of the entire series. They have technically been around since *before* the show's beginning. They definitely had the time and ability to orchestrate each Arc that occurred, and they may even have a motive: boredom. Each SMG wants to be an entertainer of sorts. Zero could have either been a master of dark humor or a flat-out villain, One is calm and level-headed, Two is upbeat yet foolish, Three is adept at wrangling the dead memes into nostalgic actors, and Four is the Meme Lord that we all know and love. Things might have been too peaceful in the original universe, resulting in SMG1 and SMG2 creating the Virus to serve as a sort of antagonist. Things go wrong, and the duo abandon their universe. Zero is left alone with the Virus as his world collapses. Flash forward, and the duo are hanging out with Spudnick. They are trying to live their lives as they initially intended, but Zero's arrival forces them to flee. At some point, they eventually decide that being villains is far more satisfying than being Guardians. They begin to manipulate events from behind the scenes. Ultimately, Zero unmasks them and they battle the crew for the fate of the universe in WOTFI 2024. This is my revised theory, of course. If you are reading this, I thank you and humbly ask that you leave your opinion.

Your right, it would have been wholesome, but I think Luke was running out of stuff to write with Axol, or maybe he didn't know how to write a relationship in a series like normal Smg4.

i mean, axol could still be alive, he looks like hes just an axolotl that looks like a human, and axolotls can regenerate their entire body IF enough bone marrow was left, meaning if axol's bone marrow (enough to regrow body) is in the main universe, it make take 2 years for him to regenerate, as he is either a teen or an adult (old enough for axolotl regeneration to be slowed down), and also the fact that he is much larger than an axolotl, but this means, if we wait long enough, axol may return, as the good manga artist we knew him as.

I don’t think bringing him back (from a narrative standpoint) would make sense, cuz if it did, they could have done the same with Desti. Also, I don’t think Axol would want it, sure he would be happy, but he’d be haunted by the memory of his death and the pain caused by it, it would be torture for him. Think about it, he’d likely experience that moment on repeat in every dream he has for years, and would likely end up slowly being driven mad by it.

@@jona_toro5282 Actually I had a thought about this and so I searched up the animal Axolotls (You know the animal Axol is based on) and as it turns out they have amazing regenerative abilities in real life even being able to regrow their spines, parts of their brain and their eyes and since we are talking about a character...maybe as long as a piece of Axol survived he could come back? Keep in mind this is just a theory with no real proof from SMG4 itself to back it up but there is plenty of real life evidence of Axolotls surviving from devastating injury such as losing a limb or again pieces of their brain and spine.

I know it hurts, but we have to accept the truth, he’s gone, and in case you mention Ink Weaver, that wouldn’t be him, just a copy of him, a temporary one at that. You could see it on his face, he was content and knew this was the only way, even if it wasn’t what he wanted to happen. The best we can do it let him rest in peace, he deserves it after making the hardest choice of his life.
