Emily's dialogue in the opening scene is an absolute masterclass in how to be polite and empathetic but still assertive while dealing with difficult people. And then she was observant enough to pick up the signs that Julia was in trouble, and enact a plan to get her out of danger. Very smart woman.

I have a decibel meter. I can get to 99% of the legal limit (or in a complex 99% of the limit dictated by my lease) leave it there, and nobody can do shit about it, lmao

People need to understand that you rent an APARTMENT - not the entire building. Want to do what you want and not consider others? Get your own house. If what you do in the apartment affects others outside the apartment - stop it. My pet peeve are those barking dogs. That said, he didn’t consider this, so his dirty deeds were exposed.

People need to understand that if you have a lease in an apartment, there's a max limit to how loud sounds can be emitting from your apartment. I have a decibel meter at home and I can get within 1% of the max limit. If someone doesn't like that, they can go find a place with a lower decibel limit to go rent from
