Here's a video from Master F. Vigoroux (7th Degree). Taken from a seminar in Los Teques, Venezuela. June 2006. Enjoy. Please comment. More info on, www.vigorouxstudios.com/.
the question is retorical, what could you do, if you studied TCM and martial arts. I have met MR. Vigoroux, very nice man and a credit to the American Kenpo family.
Another thing is those extensions are what I would call (FANTASY KARATE), they are meant to give ideas, but if you can't come up w/ your own extensions by the time your 2nd, then what have you really learned?
es incribel el mal sonido que tiene este video, un favor y es pregunta sana, cuales son los nombres de peleadores de ufc o bellator que practican o practicaron kenpo? o Kempo? o American Kempo? o kempor karate americano?
muy bueno sr Vigoroux usted trabaja exactamente igual que Larry Tantum debería darle su toque personal.... es algo habitual en los alumnos de Larry Tantum sr very good Vigoroux you work exactly like Larry Tantum should give their personal touch is common in students Larry Tantum
@pama4242 amen to what you said about that.. extensions were used to make money/retain students after black.. most people after reaching black would go 'there's no more material? hrm. guess i know it all" and leave. the smarter ones don't worry about "more material" or belts and just keep refining and working their stuff. you know that whole journey concept :)
Listen up I'll talk to you all about kenpo the logic and physics behind it do make sense of you really understand what American kenpo is one who studies the art to the point where it would mcomplete logic takes years to get that knowledge so understanding how to check hight depth and width and generate power by using the whole body not just a typical slap kenpo people tend to do (bad habit) with that I get lack of power weak black no stances to create back up mass
quite a bit and what could you do, if you studied TCM and martial arts. of course in china no one calms to be kenpo masters or blackbelts since it is the entry level training to inter the shaolin temple.
The attacker never fights back after his first strike, I guess all Kenpo fighters are attacked only by dumb people that cannot follow up on the first strike.
True, this man moves a lot like Tatum. I'm really not impressed with Kenpo anymore, it is a highly theoretical art, overkill is abundant, can look like the same technique over and over again. I would classify as a punch kick art in ever increasing complex patterns, lacks deeper of true karate, but hey, it's a hell of a lot better than nothing
Kenpo people are all guilty of getting caught up in the speed thing. Easy to do because it looks good and is fun to practice, same overdone techniques, every time i see somebody doing kenpo, it looks exactly the same only one person is faster than the other. Show something different, this art is based on one man interpretation of karate (Ed Parker) one after another after another of the same technique's, very boring , lacks the counters and depth needed.
One man's creation not interpretation just like bruce lee, the gracies, jigoro kano created their own styles ed parker did likewise. Step onto a real kenpo school so that you can wake up.
This is another uneducated statement. If your attacker is holding a real knife and they attack you for real and you defend your self by grabbing the knife away and stab and slash them to death, you will go to jail the first day you practice it for real. The idea is to simulate the situation. This is a demo. What is your version of a real attack? Would you attack him for real and let him go full force on his defense? What do you think would happen? You should stop by the school and see whats up?
