Mammookka has done Yathra and Peranbu. These two are enough. It's not that Mohanlal and Mammookka cannot get other state audience. Janata Garage, iruvar and a lot are examples. Whenever Mohanlal and Mammookka does a role in other industry, they shine bright, wheather it be as a supporting actor or as a main lead. This is because both Lalettan and Mammookka can do both hardcore emotional roles, comedy roles and mass roles. They have each acted in more than 400 films lol. They have already done every type of role possible. But it's just that both of them never had the need to go out to other industries...they wanted to take their own small industry forward.

The other difference I've noticed in Malayalam industry is all the stars promote each other's movies, they celebrate all the movies. They all think for the betterment of the industry, rather than just their own movies. Very good discussion and I could relate with all your comments.

i think he dont know satyan,premnaseer madhu ,,jayan,sukumaran,soman,,bharath gopi......before mammoty and mohanlal thikkurissi,odivil unnikrishnan ,sankarady.kottarakkara..all were masters in natural acting...adult movie came when shakeela ,maria ,roshni all came as parallel artists from other states for bgrade movies...There were erotic classics from padmarajan and bharathan but those were classics not bgrade...i think this guy dont know diference between erotic classics and b grade movies...kamalhassan openly told he got basic of acting and culture from kerala ...because kamal sir came before mammoty or mohanla...he is one of the best product of kerala film industry and culture ...i consider Satyan sir ,,sankarady sir thikkurussi sir and kottarakara sir as pillers for natural acting culture ..and great culture and sense of Kerala people,,its power of selfrespect and helping each other..kerala people are not adicted to film superstars,,,we admire and support good artists...this guy dont know how malayalam industry grew,...he dont know ks sethumadhavan ,,mt vasudevan nair ,hariharran ,iv sasi,,damodaran ,,sn swami...chemeen cbi diarikurup and 1921 were super hit @ tamilnadu.....thrillers happened with bhargavinilayam...langadahanam..kannur delux...etc ..satyan,,prem nassir..madhu,,sukumaran,,soman ,,jayan ,,,sankaradi,,odivil unnikrishnan,,mammukoya ,,innocent,,jagathi sreekumar ,,indransee ,jagadeesh,siddique ,,janardhanan,rajanp dev,,kalabhavan mani...and our top notch directors and technitions in india...pritviraj..Fafa,,,.tovino,kunjakobobban,indrajith,,asifali ,,our new pride of our Malayalam industry
