All of them are magnificent talent !! Parvathi is the best and deserve the award !! Nayan popularity and movie box office made her more closure to award ! Pooja was extraordinary act in Vidhiyum Mun and damn good story !! N i never watched Paradesi since its Bala movie n every one knows that every one have act because he is perfectionist !! Why not Parvathy ? Parvathy in Maariyan performed much better than Nayanthara . I'm from Kerala , both are our girls but still Parvathy did much better than Nayan .

Yes..pooja is the winner..she did not use a dubbing artist for the film..naan kadavul and vidiyum munn couple of films was her own voice..recently bala sir said pooja is real talent actress in tamil cinema..pooja so diserve to this award.but nayan so popular..but anyway pooja wish u good future
I don't know about others, but I felt that Parvathi for Mariyaan would take home the award instead of Nayan. I felt that Parvathi had performed slightly better than her, and also because she had dubbed in her own voice. The juries didn't take her performance too seriously...
Just to add one more thing, if you want to give the award to Nayan then fine…but you must credit the work of her dubbing artist Deepa Venkat as well. She gave life to Nayan's performance.

this is all just a popularity contest. thats it. real talent has no value. who is the newsmaker/moneymaker? thats what is important. nayan is gorgeous but as an actress she is very average. Yet its her popularity that got her this award. parvathi was 10 times better than nayan noting the fact that she dubbed in her own voice as well... real award should go to the dubbing artist of nayanthara in raja rani.

I agree with your points. Maybe, they feel a bit shameful for crediting the dubbing artist on stage, because people might think that someone else contributed to their performance too. Sometimes, they might just forget. About the second point, Pooja was there in the function, so I thought she would get it, (quite happy) but this Nayan got two awards instead. Mudiyala...
Everyone knew 9 would win best actress, even if she was bad at her role. because it was produced by fox star so they will give it to her. But its disappointing that they also gave her favorite actress, it couldve been Trisha for EP. or Give Sneha for haridass (which was really good and motivating) for best ac. and give 9 for fav act. Didnt even watch this "favoritism show"
In my opinion, it would be better if they gave the Best Actress award to Parvathi or Pooja; even Sneha would be okay, and give Favourite Heroine to Nayan. The problem here is the popularity issue; Parvathi and Pooja are not as popular as Nayan is, so the fans who come will be upset that their Kanavu Kanni didn't get the award. Also, Vijay Tv has a strong laauuv for Nayan considering all their special programs dedicated to her (Darling Darling, Endrendrum Nayanthara), which often had the anchors praising Nayan's Raja Rani acting to the skies. So, keeping these in mind, Yugi Sethu and his jury gang chose to give her the award.
TheSingam075 Exactly, since raja rani, i see too much nayan on vijay tv. Half of her "comeback performance" is due to vijay tv popularising her. Her wearing a tiara, in may day (which i think should be done with another actress), idu kadhal or something like that. Even her fans are calm, they are just making them go wild.Its tooo much. I havent seen the two movies but i heard alot of praise about their acting in it. I still think Sneha could have been a good shoice. Its sad that Haridass wasnt even nominated as much it deserved. I stopped watching this show since SRK showed up. We know he came to promote his movies. But they had to give him, Sivaji award.
Yup, these award shows are not apt for people like us who consider the talented over the popular. I understand that Nayan is the number one heroine now, but come on Vijay Tv, yetho avangala thavira vera nadigai illaiyaakum. I mean, even Sun Tv doesn't do such unwanted nonsense like this with a particular star. Sneha was wonderful in Haridass, even though after having seen all the films, I thought Parvathi had deserved it the best, but still, even if Sneha won it, I would have been happy too. About SRK, I mean I like him too, but doesn't the Vijay Awards know that he is just a Hindi actor? I mean, if you want to give him some Sivaji Ganesan Award for contribution in Hindi Cinema, then fine, but for Indian cinema as a whole...? Hopefully, in the coming years, deserving people like Ilayaraja, Janaki, Sridevi receive the award.

I agree, when suntv calls an actor in particular, we know why and its ok, but vijay tv is neutral, yet they are favorising within actors to gain fame. It was clear he was there to promote his movie. And was quite disappointing. I cant believe Arr won but not illayaraja. He should have won first. I hope he wins next year. Yeah all the people mentionned deserves an award.
