I watched this movie on the day of release and before that Thackeray and believe me after watching Manikarnika I booked tickets to Jhansi with my two friends as soon as the show ended and in the next morning we three were in the Jhansi. Women know women aren’t weak. They want to PROVE that they aren’t weak. But it’s the general populace which believes that women are weak and hence does not provide equal opportunities to women. These amazing women from history had the privilege to showcase their awesomeness. This is not the norm...they were provided with equal opportunities. Rain laxmibai was taught and was given free reign to fight and ride and do other things with her rakhi brothers. Other women of her time didn’t have the same opportunities. Thus Indians should look at history and learn that women are just as capable as men to lead, fight, learn and run the world.

That one dialoge from the movie Manikarnika ( Based on the true life story of Lakshmibai, the Rani of Jhansi ) "Hum aapni pratishtha ke liye larege." is my personal favourite. I personally believe that one looses the fear of death if, one is very clear in one's vision while fighting for the right cause, then the battle may be in any sphere of one's life.

@ No citizen of Uttar Pradesh is interested in Maratha history. But we people know that Maurya dynasty and Mughal dynasty from UP and Bihar occupied Maharastra long before Shiva ji even existed. Moreover, My capital OUDH didn't supported Marathas in 3rd battle of Panipat and they lost and then UP was occupied by Britain and then India inherited us without any referendum. India inherited UP , Uttrakhand and Bihar to get insulted by Indians.
