It is visually stunning, as is the ejection and desert crash. The whole movie was beautiful.

Its gun ports were still hot after firing at Vika, so they burned the curtain at the two points where the guns ports touched it.

That SHOT was simply epic. It was like a classic MONSTER from olden days emerging from a fiery curtain. Amazing!

The sound design to start with. Very attractive sounds. Also they feel nervous somehow, lots of hesitation and sudden movements

Absolutely. It reminds me of what Peter Jackson said about designing Shelob’s movements. He is absolutely terrified by spiders, so his VFX team got a spider from the woods and studied its behavior. They found that what was most frightening is, they would stay perfectly still, then move extremely quickly, then stop again, attack, then move quickly. I have to believe Joseph Kosinski was informed by that movement when he conceived of these drones. Excellent movement, sounds and behavior. They almost have their own belligerent personalities. Unpredictable. More sci-fi shows would benefit from this approach.

Eventually they will have the drones figured out to the point that they can be like the ones in the movie programming wise, autonomous drones already exist as well.

I loved this movie too. It has a lot of logical gaps in it, but the sentimental aspect is amazing.

@@jorgevaldez2249 This. She selfishly wanted Jack, but she wasn't suicidal about it. Her face pleading with him when she realizes what she's done is always so heartbreaking - I really feel for her in that moment.

@@GoldenTiger01 You know, I think you are right, and that works for the first part of the film. When you think Tom Cruise is part of the last vestiges of humanity, and the drones are "protecting" him, the silliness makes you think of WALL-E or Johnny 5. So the drones are "friendly" if impersonal. Which makes the reality "scarier" when they turn on Tom Cruise and Vika. In the context of the chase here and later, yeah, I can see that. Overall benefit, in my opinion.

"Tom" seems to be an a hole and unfriendly guy.

The story is too compact for a series. There's expanded lore potential and possibly pre- and post- event fan fiction but the story begins and ends with the main antagonist here.

@@zesalesjt7797 Some people online have suggested that the Tet was just a terraforming "rover" and the creators are coming to see why it blew up. Could be a way to expand the universe as you said.

@@Irving_teran You make a good point. What happens to the other teams when all the tech goes offline? What is the dynamics of a wife with an army of husbands? What are the physical consequences of the geoengineering processes on the Earth? Are there still signals from Titan? So, yes. There is additional source potential here. I guess I just really felt the actor's sentiment that it should be done correctly, because there is no shortish of improperly produced renditions, interpretations and *cough, cough* subversive adaptations.

Such a beauty too! I've never seen her more beautiful than in this movie.

There was definitely a cinema need for a dramatic reveal of the drone, but the reason it didn't come out guns blazing could have been explained a lot better. I mean, certainly it should have come out guns blazing as soon as possible, right ?

Well he couldn't be certain that the Tet isn't just protecting it's assets and marking dangerous zones, post nuclear war... Or there is a deeper levelof unbderstanding to that danger zone.

Lol why do people use this remark? This film was not underrated, just take a look at how much it took in at the box office and the user reviews still hold up to this day.

@@Hunt8rJob by definition, it means that most people didn’t recognize how good a thing really was. Its average rating is 7.0 on IMDB, which is lower than most of his movies. In my own circles, it’s scarcely mentioned, thus, in my opinion, it’s underrated.

Yep. I didnt catch onto that til my second viewing. I wondered why the Tet would have supply issues getting parts to repair the drone downstairs, but then it dawned on me that that was the Tet's excuse for keeping that drone on the premises where it could quickly wipe them both out if they got off program
