It is a very hunmbling experience to spend time, cook, make camp or do crafts in the wild. And this experienced is amplified by the fact that most of the gear, items and clothing I bring is made by me. If not made by me then made by good friends. Either way all of if is based on findings from the viking age. Replicas, reproductions or interpretations of things know from and used in the viking age. It creates a very wholesome athmosphere where I can set my self free from the present time. No plastic, nothing digital and no static noice. I find a sincere sense of peace like this. Its a good way to take a mental break but also to explore and experience on my own body and in my own hands how the past could have felt. How the gear works, how the tools operate and hoe the clothes feels. Another kind of Viking Reenactment. Im very happy to be able to take you along for this short trip to one of my favourite places.
