This time I'm out in Rold Forest, making some Viking Energy bar and my special coffee. I also show my new Fire Bowl, and have a DIY video about how I made it. Hope you'll come along on my little trip and enjoy you'r stay together with me.

How too make the Viking Energy Bar:
Viking Energy Bar
Ingredients:
Rye Bread 2 slices ( crumbs )
Hasselnuts 1 handful ( crushed )
Oatmeal 1 handful
Butter 2 table spoon
Honey 2 table spoon
Mix Rye Bread, Hasselnuts and Oatmeal together
Melt the Butter on the pan and add the Honey..let it cook for 5-10 min until it’s light brown
Put the other ingredients in and mix it all together. Stir.. and cook for about 5 min.
Take it off the fire and let it cool down.
Enjoy and feel the power of Viking energy

Hey Tom, it was great to join you again on another adventure. That energy bar looks pretty good. I'm gonna have to make some of that. That is a cool fire bowl design, just keep in mind that when you burn galvanized metal, it puts off a gas that can poison you. It will make you pretty sick. When I got it the hospital made me drink 4 eight ounce glasses of milk as fast as I could to neutralize the poison. I will see you soon my friend. Dwayne

Tom👍👍 Great idea and the execution of making the fire bowl was impressive. Working with metal requires some gloves and a steady hand, I could see some scrapes. The Rold Forest is a magical looking place, beautiful and ancient. The Viking Energy bar looks delicious, I'm sure it's welcomed on the trail when you need a pick up. Hi Tom , what a wunderful place Rold Skov , and nice, that you have found a quiet place to sit making fire , without people passing! It is such a good combination, to see you out in the wood using a new item and then showing the video how you made it at home ...perfect ! And a great little fire bowl, you are really filming and showing the items and how you make them so good , interesting and detailed, that it definitely animates us , all the viewer's, to try to make the item ! I like that. It's a good way to keep a fire small and still useful. I use a twig stove, but I might try the fire bowl too.

Nice looking firebowl! I agree with what you say about the UCO one - it's not really durable. However, I would prefer to have something in the center, catching any embers that might fall through the grate. And those "cookies" reminded me of something I read in a viking/medieval cook book - but it also had bone marrow! ᛞ

Hey Tom: Zinc which is used to "Galvanize: metal melts at around 450 degrees Celsius, lower than temperatures many campfires achieve. Don't turn your back on that thing or it could melt and dump the coals where it could be bad. It happened to me once; not fun! The actual iron they galvanize is paper thin, so it wont do any good if the zinc begins to melt off. The air flow around the outside might work in your favor, mine didn't have enough air to keep it from melting. Looks nice though.

Tom, today I tried the energy mixture! (02/28/2022) I added raisins and chocolate morsels. It is cooking now in a pie pan. I snuck a taste, warm, and it is wonderful! I had to use peanuts as my Dad is allergic to other nuts. I signed up for news of production of your fire bowl. Good luck on this invention!
