I got a $34 special from Amazon on the way. Has upgraded LCD displays of battery percentage in numbers over the older four led light models. These are just four lipo flat packs inside and a battery management system board BMS. All the videos on repairing these show the insides. Name brand lipo packs for the radio control car/airplane are used to replace dead puffy worn out packs with something a lot better. 😂
I bought one after I replaced the battery in my son’s car. Probably won’t need it for a while. Kinda like closing the barn door after the cows are out. One of those things you hope you won’t need right?
hey my man, i recently purchased my first bike, ive had my magna about 6 months now love the bike even through the winter its been a blast, but i do need to replace my battery because its some shitty walmart battery thats dead and really doesnt charge any recommendations? and or things to just look for in a new battery may be asking lots of questions so sorry for that, cant get enough of magnas though
If you want to pay up and not have problems, you cannot go wrong with Yuasa. Interstate are pretty good. I tend to get the cheaper Pirate and Chrome batteries. They seem decent for 40-50 bucks. Some have a battery charge level indicator which can be a nice touch. If you look at specs, get one with a higher cold cranking amp because that will often help you start a bike that doesn’t get ridden much. Happy Riding!
@@mcycleshawn Hello Sorry to spam questions, thank you so much again for the reply in regards to the battery was very helpful and I’ve ordered a replacement If I may pester you with one more inquiry, sorry I noticed I have one spot of visible rust in the tank of my 1998 magna, about the size of a dime Should I, or rather do I need to remove the rank and clean it out asap before riding it more, or do I have a bit of time I plan to do it asap I just don’t know how serious I should take it, I know rust could plug up the carbs but it’s not a lot so idk Lmk what you think thank you! Havent removed the tank before, but the owners manual makes it seem pretty simple, hopefully I don’t fuck it up lol
@@thegreatest6546Tank is easy to remove, but its probably not worth it for a tiny rust spot. Its a lot of work to clean for just one spot tbh. Typically removing the tank is one to two bolts then pull off the hoses.
