Thanks for showing us the wonderful sights on the Viking Mississippi cruise. We have this cruise plan for December. Do you know what the weather will be like in December? Will there be an opportunity when we get to Memphis, to take a side trip to Graceland? Thanks!
When we took the cruise, one option was a visit to Graceland. But the offered shore excursions do change, as they do on all cruises. You'll have to check with Viking. The weather? Only God might know, and He most likely would be guessing.
Thanks for posting the video. I noticed you did not do the Civil War tour at Vicksburg. Was that your choice or was it not offered on your tour? It would be one of my must do tours.

"Some" free-time, yes, but not a lot. The tours we took pretty much covered what we wanted to see, so it was a non-issue for us. We did go out on our own a few times to explore independently. I'd say there was a good balance overall, but of course your mileage may vary. Personally I most enjoyed the evening entertainment. It was, to me, much better than on some other river cruises we've taken.
