How is this not a crime? THIS is why I fish the beaches at Barnegat/LBI for a month straight and catch 2 keepers! The restrictions on sport fishermen are so tough, but apparently if you are a commercial fisherman you can drag the whole fucking ocean on to your boat and then figure out what you want to keep. Its a damn shame. Politicians own the ocean and sell it to the highest bidder. And now they want to charge a saltwater fishing license fee

overfishing and unscrupulous fishing practices have for sure ruined the oceans fish populations. At the same time people want fish on their plate and I'm sure complain about the price. But no one wants to know how it's actually caught in an industrial quantity. I bet it's pretty hard to be a commercial fisherman these days. So many regulations, thin margins and competing with massive conglomerates. But the world is filled with these type of things. Even this Mac book I'm typing on was likely made from minerals mined by children in the DRC. Ever been to a mineral mine? Wanna work in one? Don't think so. Meanwhile nothing about Mac, the use of their product or the sterile nature of their stores shows the human misery behind it. But hey I'm just a big hypocrite in this whole drama myself.
