Viking snowmobile - original condition -- in purple 

The Viking brand of snowmobiles were first built in Ashland, WI for 1966, but then moved to Twin Valley, MN. This is a last-year 1976 model. (Historians report 300 were built for 1976.)
Vikings came in different colored hoods. This purple example was popular because it connoted a tie-in with the Minnesota Vikings football team. Indeed, the dashboard logo is similar to that used by the football team.
Powered by a 440 cc fan-cooled Kohler engine with electronic ignition.
The suspension was named Posi-Grip, and was a blend between slide rails and bogies.
This example looks original, with the exception of the replacement Duster primary clutch.
