Three consecutive scoring drives for the offense; three consecutive 3 and outs with negative yardage for the defense. Yes the sound quality sucks a few points. This was the best video I could find.
I miss him. Correct. I miss seeing him play since he missed most of the season but I am well aware that he may be back with the Vikings next year. Don't you know English son?
OldSchoolMuzik I’m pretty sure that if the Saints wouldn’t have absolutely killed farves legs that he could have run for that 1st down and the pick would have never happened easy field goal for the win 🤷♂️
I was actually supposed to fly to MN for this game with a buddy but those plans fell through. We ended up going to a sports bar to watch this. I'm from AZ so the bar was packed with cards fans. Everyone was giving me a hard time until we pulled through in OT and I serenaded everyone with SKOL Vikings. Good times!
I fell bad for you I went to that game and it was crazy about 2000 people left because they thought we were gunna lose. But all around this was just an awesome game
rico terrortiNo 14 points completes the comeback though. They had to come back from being down 14 points. 17 wins it but it's still only considered a 14 comeback, just like dude above said.
nan0 actually this is the year after that because in 09 the vikes were undefeated for the first 5-6 weeks and the Cardinals had Kurt Warner and he got hurt in the playoffs against the Saints
right the whole hurricane thing they let the late hits go, but really everyone knew the nfc was winning the syperbowl, didn't matter who the afc champs were Saints or Vikes were winning that year
It's 2020 and I remember it like it was yesterday. I walked out when we were down two possessions, and was outside when I heard my neighbor's radio saying it was all tied up. That's what made me see the ending. Crazy how fast time flies.
This is what Favre brought to the NFL week in and week out the potential for hella crazy comebacks from his team was always there. I loved watching him play my favorite player of all time!
BmoreBirds Nest dude comeon. The first int favre threw would have got called back. U remember that's when the saints players intentionally dived at Favres legs , you know because they where trying to hurt him. That puts them in field goal range on that particular drive. And in overtime one of the worst pass int calls I've ever seen in my life.
Ahhh, the good ol' days in 2009 when we had Favre for 1 solid season. If there was ever a year that broke my heart like my heart was broken in 1998 when we had Cris Carter, Randy Moss, Randall Cunningham, Robert Smith, John Randle, Gary Anderson, Leroy Hoard, Jeff Christy, Matt Birk, Randall McDaniel, Todd Steussie, Korey Stringer, and, and, and, ect.
I was at this game 3rd row seats. After this game, I can now say I am a Vikings fan. I was shaking from the energy of the crowd and it felt like I was in a Colosseum. Thank you Vikings and fans :) its rough sometimes but its worth it.
YA_DAT_WAZ_ME 29 Yes, what about it? That was the NFC Championship in January 2010 after the 2009 season. This game happened in October 2010. Favre was banged up in that game, but not seriously injured. He was healthy in time for this season. You can't say a 6-10 team deserved to win the SB. What did this team in was Sidney Rice's injury & Favre sitting out camp until August when he had new receivers. His 33 TD, 7 INT from the year before flipped as he got a year older.
Jeffrey DragonFire retar... gok... i mean jeff. I can't take an autistic's opinion when it comes to football. Next you're going to tell me DBZ is the best show on earth. Or Inyuyasha has artistic or merit of any sort. And nothing is greater than throwing for the back of the end-zone in a non-hailmarry scenario in a do or die, seconds ticking of the last moments of the game. How often do teams life up their QB and put him up on their shoulders, next to never because of how spectacular that was. That play was phenomenal and the giants shooting themselves in the foot doesn't compare :\
After watching ponder videos to farve no wondering why ponder can't throw past five yards God his balls are slow. And damn I missed the speed the old ap had
Vikings are on the way back up. We finally got a quarterback. That was the big piece. We will have him for 12 years or so. Our defense went from close to last to about the middle. Next year, top 10. Will fight for Wild Card. Pack with Rodgers still too good.
Kevin Anderton Kevin. I agree. I think outside chance at wild card is kind of what realistic fans want. But, damn. Aaron Rodgers is a freaky good QB. And the Packers will be a force to deal with. But I will tell you I'm not sold on Cutler or Stafford. Really. Cutler likes to throw the ball to guys in other jerseys, and Stafford has become dependent on Calvin Johnson, who has padded the stats. It will be exciting to watch. Yeah, the Vikes have a couple years to go to perhaps contend.
Bill Brown no matter how shitty our record is the vikings always seem to be especially good against the packers and with a roster this stacked backing them up this year's gonna be a good one for the vikes.
Kelly. You are right. And they always seem to play the Pack even tougher at Lambeau Field. One other thing. This is the first time I can remember since Bud Grant that I have full confidence in the head coach. I think the players really buy into Zimmer. He is no-nonsense. He also never throws them under the bus with the press. He gets on them in private. Things are getting better...
If you wanna see the worst uniforms in franchise history look at the throwback steelers jerseys. The ones that are yellow with black stripes or whatever. Those are ugly as shit.
+Michael Joseph Jackson I'm a Patriots fan and I was at this game. Unfortunately I remember seeing that up on the board while I was at the game, horrific. On the other hand, the Patriots did go 14-2 that season
***** Because somebody put a video on here so that everyone else can enjoy it and, instead of just watching the video, all I read is a bunch of criticism on the video quality, and not even an original line. Every person uses the same lame joke about a potato. It's played. We all agree; it's not exactly digital quality, but at least we get to see it. And my mother was a pomegranate.
I just love 4th quarter comebacks! Whether it's *Kenny Stabler*, *Joe Montana* or *Brett Favre*, they are magical to see. Could add *Dan Marino* and *John Elway* to that list, but 4th quarter magic is just that... 4th quarter *MAGIC*!!!
+Jay Nicks Tommy was another!!! Although he didn't have as many or nearly as famous as The Snake, Tommy Kramer was clutch!!! Love that 1980 win over Cleveland!!!
The only purple jersey I would ever wear is one that reads FAVRE on the back. #4 had a lot of help from his defense here, but make no mistake...those passes were spot on and could not have been any better under this amount of pressure. And Minnesota would not made it nearly as far as they did without him. Best QB of all time, and these highlights are but only one example of why. Go ahead and argue with me on that. Most consecutive games started as a QB says just as much as any QB rating. If you understand anything about the sport then you will know what I'm talking about. #GOPACKGO
+rbeforme It's true Favre did make the Vikings better and it made it the best way to shove it to the packers when he beat them twice and that was basically Favre's best year.
How ironic that as the MINNESOTA VIKINGS came back from a 24-10 deficit to defeat the ARIZONA CARDINALS 27-24 in OT, while the DETROIT LIONS blew a 20-10 lead vs. the NY JETS to lose 24-20 especially since the DETROIT LIONS and MINNESOTA VIKINGS are in the same division (NFC NORTH)
JoAntRey The Browns are always good against the good teams (Beat Greenbay, New England, Baltimore, Pittsburgh New Orleans, Denver, last 3 years) then choke at the end of season to ruin their playoff chance every-other year (lost to the Jaguars, Texans, Vikings, Titans) in end of their seasons.
+forman208 The Vikings had 12 wins that year it was in 2009. The Cardinals had 10 wins that year. The Vikings lost to the Saints that year in the NFC Championship because the Saints cheated to win it.
How is paying more for injuries going to affect a game unlike deflating a ball to catch better injuries can come at any time now stop bitched about o they cheated to win well who got hurt in that game no one so stfu
+austin lirette Brett Farve got hurt in that game. He had to have ankle surgery that off-season because of it. And it was cheating they got caught and had players and coaches got suspended and also had draft picks stripped from them. I'm not bitching about it they got caught and it is done with. I do agree though with the deflating a ball though but, lets not point fingers at anyone.
how? by record wise they never to amazing but they normally get a wild card spot right behind green bay and it's not like they cheat or have bad sports man ship, i'm confused
joe shmo I confused how attempting to get better makes them a bad team, trying to get some exposure by making a new stadium and hosting a Super Bowl is suddenly a bad thing? What team are you a fan of that has won 20 Super Bowls in a row and goes undefeated every year? Your a pretty big hypocrite, saying they are bad for not winning a superbowl but saying they are bad for trying to get exposure to get players to win a Super Bowl, Can't tell if troll or stupid
