Vikings - Travis Fimmel - Ragnar 

He became one of my favorite actors of all times.

His smirks and facial expressions make him who he is. They express his sly and cunning personality. They are what make him Ragnar Lothbrok, and what make him stand out from the others.

No one else could ever play Ragnar as Travis plays the character ..totally brilliant. When he has the make up on in the battle scenes he IS a Viking...and I agree with the previous person's comment about his "smirks and sly glances"...he can go from being "normal and friendly" to "evil , terrifying and capricious" in a second. Totally awesome. Great programme and great actors...battle scenes are second to none.

His eyes are so incredibly piercing, they're like swords penetrating my soul lol

I believe that whatever silly and dazed facial expressions he may make throughout all of his interviews, he sure knows how to work his facial expressions as an actor, and how to manipulate the aura around him with just a twist of his lips. Thats part of what makes him so attractive, and obviously a wonderful Ragnar Lothbrok

Aweeee. What a gorgeous human being! His whole being is so mesmerizing! Beautiful eyes, that smile and his hands - I’m swooning over him. Especially his attitude towards the industry he’s working in and the people involved makes him even more attractive.

Vikings could speak in poetry. It was an oral culture. That spent 3 months indoors every year with not enough light to do decent craft. So they told stories. Their level of poetry went off the charts. And in the viking age their culture was at least 2700 years old. So they had some stories to tell. Thats a pretty cool fact about viking culture that not all people know.

I am a huge fan of Travis Fimmel, love that accent, nobody else could play Ragnar better than this great actor, can't wait to see what he does next, WOW!!!

He literally has the 'crazy' look in his eyes in Vikings!

This man is a brilliant actor. Ragnar's smile? Shivers up my spine every time.

Having seen all his other interviews, this is the most relaxed and care-free I've ever seen him, usually he stutters or fumbles out sentences (He's usually quite shy), but here he's actually confident and cracking jokes!

His eye contact is amazing. A genuine person.

Travis is amazing, wow. I wish all the actors had that intensity. The Vikings wouldn't be much without him, good job whomever gave him the part of Ragnar Lothbrok.

I just love travis fimmel. He is such a great sctor and s very kind person snd charming. I whish him sll the best in the future. He deserves a nomination for his role in vikings.

Ahhhh...love this guy. He has that surfer dude thing going on, but that is his true nature, I believe. He is honest and comes across as a kind person. And..although I was unfamiliar with his earlier acting work, and knew that he had been a model..I had my doubts about his being cast on "Vikings". But he is damn good.

Viking is a novel with full of wonders. Issues from the story itself is in the present world. As far as my knowledge is concerned, greediness and non- believer for Truth and Honesty counts a lot on the story itself. All the actor, actresses and support artists are very good in all aspects. And they were able to portray the inner feeling of the emotion on the specific given issue. Of course Ragar, I may say he is great guy and a lover on his position as an actor. I love it. Cinematography almost perfect. Wish to have another episode of it. With full of series. God bless us.

U can pillage this village any day ;] The historic value n accuracy is awesome, they put so many interesting aspects into the show its so enthralling All of the actors, even the children are really giving it their all to pull of the vibe of taking u back in time to this culture and era.

Ragnar had sons, and still without sons, the story of Ragnar the Lothbrok is extensive enough to have 3-4 seasons worth of material. There are even different versions to choose from :)

I totally agree. It's the whole mixing Ragnar up with Lindisfarne that puzzles me, or the complete lack of helmets during their battles. It seems a bit like the writers didn't do that much research before venturing into this, but with that said, it's still a fairly entertaining show :)

Indeed, Vikings were not bloody gory beasts as the Christians propaganda portrayed them, they were civilized people, although with a different taste for battle and politics, they still had to organize and rally, where having Ragnar's type of charm is a clear advantage, people support a charming leader more then they would a tyrant although most of the times is the tyrant that is charming at first as the truth is harsh to face. Bottom line, even viking leaders had to be charming to gain support.

The name Ragnar has it's root in the Norse word ragna meaning god,gods,ruler,king etc.
