The next game against the Rams should be flexed to a Sunday Night game.

This was the Vikings best win. As good as their record is, they only had to play one decent team on the road previous to this, Pittsburgh. And they lost that one. So beating the Redskins on the road is big. The problem is they have more road games coming up against the Falcons, Lions, and Panthers. All good teams. They could very possibly lose all of those, so I think they needed this one pretty badly. The Lions and the Packers are only two back, and both get to play at home against the Vikings yet. Plus the Lions have the tiebreak edge. So their 7-2 record isn't as safe as it appears in my view. They do have the Rams next week which is their last home game for a while. But the Rams are good this year. So that's no gimme, but I think they better win it before they go on their road game stretch.

I think the Vikings have what it takes to go deep into the playoffs. Let’s just take it week by week though. Week 11 against the LA Rams will for sure be a test for us, they’re no joke this year! #skol

This was not pretty. This is what I was afraid of. The Vikings have the hardest part of their schedule coming up and this happens. We can't have the defense fall apart like this. They gave up 17 points or less in the last 4 games and then they let Washington almost double that? Granted, 2 picks by Keenum that turned into 10 points I believe would have helped against that had he not thrown them, but this is the way of the Vikings. They do well and get complacent, then they get lazy. This is just the beginning. Defense is giving up way too much, Keenum making poor choices even though he had a career game, that can't happen. Don't get me wrong, a lot looked good in this game. O line was fantastic, didn't give up a single sack. Thielen looked awesome as always. For a while the defense was locking down, very minimal penalties, a lot off good things. If we can just eliminate those turnovers, and the defense can lock down like they did in the first 8 games, we can go far. This team has so much promise. But, it's the Vikings, and being a Minnesota sports fan, Minnesotans and myself alike, have learned to never get your hopes up. It's only a matter of time before it all crumbles to the ground.
