Tenacious and talented a competitor as you can get remember he won the pool worlds as well as 4 snooker worlds and a beautiful talented supportive wife in Vikki.
What a woman vikki is. Mark is such a lucky man, to have a wife who is so beautiful, also is a champion her self at pool so she understands cue sports, and such a gentle honest lovely lady.
World champion, beautiful wife, million pound house, millionaire, and he’s still miserable as hell suffering from depression on medication... The dreams of our society are so obviously traps.
One of the reasons he is my favorite snooker player ever. Obviously I wish he didn't have any of these problems but I love him so much for being "normal" - he is in the top 10 in what he does, he is a star as many would call him, but he never shies away from opening up about his problems and reminding us that he is, indeed, not what dreams are made of. Selby rose to heights very few people in the world could yet he remained a nice, average bloke instead of becoming a big ball of flashy marketing lie.
It's odd that Selby is quite an emotionally fragile person -- almost child-like in some ways -- and yet his emotional control on the table is almost super-human.
she is older and wise and understands that he is the "golden kid" she saw the potential and it is true, behind most great men are women like her. I would love to find a woman who thinks like her. she builds his confidence and allows him t do what he needs to do, holds her tongue when most women don't. She has accomplishments so she understands. She is an achiever herself however, she is not trying to compete with him. If most women acted and thought and understood like her you would have more successful men taking care of their families and respecting their women. What mark said is extremely important. Some part of him players to give them a better life, and Mr. Davis is right. When you have the right partner you want to work hard for them. However, their something that men need to be careful of...
Fan of Mark Selby, don't care what people say about his style, they obviously have no idea how snooker is being played or just know the name or Ronnie. Want him to became champion once again because he deserve it. On unrelated note to snooker Vikki eyebrows are irking me for years lol
Not bad for a lad off Bateman rd, shame his Dad Dave never saw all the success, he was a lovely man! You will struggle to meet a more determined man than Mark. He just never quits!
Can say that I don’t really like watching Selby’s style prefer Alex Higgins, Jimmy White, Ronnie etc but he deserve’s alot of respect for how he grinds out wins and titles, it’s why he’s number 1. Robertson will be hard to beat at the crucible though he’s got to be the fav.

Selby is disrespectful to snooker his interview after the loss to O'Sullivan in the WSC 2020 showed his true colours. He called O'Sullivan disrespectful for hitting the balls about when snookered. This is the same man who plays on when he needs 6 snookers, drags people down and blanks his opponent off when they ask for a re-rack (see frame vs Bingham in this years WSC Semi). He will be remembered for winning tournaments and earning money but not for entertaining the public or taking snooker to an art form.
The game is called snooker for a reason and if the rules say you can do it, why not, and I am a fan of O'sul, J White, A Higgins and J Trump too, but there is nothing wrong with trying to get snookers and a lot of us also find that side of the game entertaining....it's not all about potting balls and making big breaks, which is ok to watch but that can be quite boring too. Trying to get out of snookers and then trying to lay good ones is proper sparing - one player vs the other - and sparing is a big part of sport.
Don't get me wrong, I thought it was a bit of sour grapes when he said about O'sul smashing the balls, as he is totally entitled to do that too if he wishes as again it is part of the game, when ppl play off the blue and smash into the reds, luck plays a big part in how the reds split so in that case, Selby was out of order.

Mark loves her, and she loves him. So, for me he isn't a toyboy. If he would be older than her, nobody would care about that. For me, it seems like a happy marriage between Mark and Vikki.
@@lisakellerman7701 Its a joke part of the reason is that though she only 5yrs older most people think she looks a lot older than him hence "toyboy" they seem a happy couple and i'm glad for them!!!

@@1414yorks Sure, i know snooker. How could I know Mark and Vikki, if i wouldn't know snooker??? ;) Besides Judd and Jack are my favourites. Okay, safety is the wrong word for his snooker play, but i wouldn't call it attacking. But i know, that he and his friend Judd plays very similar. Both play snooker with risk.
Look at John Higgins wife......... she is happiest when her husband is lifting titles...cause she knows snooker and winning is johns life........ shes always smiling when hes happy and the cheques are a bonus............................... mark selbys wife loves the money and what comes with it....... blatantly obvious.
Watch John higgins wife when he wins a title ,she is so glad for him cause it makes him happy ................ selbys wife thinks about the money.......... can tell by her persona she loves the money more than anything.
Nice couple great champion says a lot to get to the top considering what he came thru but for god's sake go see your mum or make up for all those years forgive and forget patch it up u only have 1 mother
@Michael Corleone you hit the nail on the head!! She has always looked at least 10yrs older than him and with the story of being abandoned by his mum you don't need to be Freud to work out that Selby has replaced her with Vikki in effect married his mother figure!!
