Please react to more of his masterpieces, you would absolutely LOVE the way Kamal sir pushes the boundaries of acting, be it portraying a Terminator (villain)-style cold-blooded assassin in Dasavatharam, his portrayal of a partition survivor's agony in Hey Ram, or as a person suffering from PTSD due to the experience of Sri Lankan civil war violence in Thenali. There are dozens more examples of Kamal Haasan sir's masterpieces, but a few are enough to show how much of talent he contains.

Honestly, I wasn't too hot on Vikram my first watch, but the second time I watched it with my partner, it is almost like my third eye opened . I started seeing more of the brilliance that was in Kaithi, just so many pieces fell into place, the stage set for an epic endgame movie. Also so many of the cast members were an instant hit, like Agent Tina. I also have to just gush about the brilliance of Rolex. Suriya(the guy who plays Rolex) is an absolutely brilliant actor who just didn't have the movies that really pushed him.. The few movies that did really highlights his commitment to the role. Rolex had very little screen time to shine and the man ran with it and never looked back. I also love how there were reverent whispers of Rolex and yet we had no idea why Santhanam and the other main villains of this story ever feared him.. But then they show him in action and you can immediately see why. He is beyond unhinged lmfao. Vikram just casually showing up to the meeting held by Rolex just to scope out the arena is the single most badass thing that I have ever seen from a Tamil film. Vikram is about as perfect as it gets when it comes to Indian Cinema. The movie handled all the moving parts without rushing it, giving each of them time to shine and then you see everything fall in place and you feel immensely satisfied by the revelation. Also something others have already pointed out, this movie is the centerpiece of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe(like the MCU). The first movie being Kaithi(another excellent movie that I would highly suggest to check out). Third movie in the LCU being Leo by Vijay. Having seen the first two movies, Leo seems a little weak, but I personally enjoyed the movie because Vijay sets up an acting masterclass and I would recommend this movie as well. If I had to compare with MCU for reference, Vikram would be akin to First Avengers movie, Kaithi being Iron Man and Leo being Thor. There are sequels planned for both Kaithi and Vikram(Personally feel this would be Infinity war setting up the "Endgame") and all of it probably culminating in a final movie that connects all these different movies in one.

Yeah ofcourse there will be a sequel. This director has setup his own crime universe. Part 1 was Kaidhi. Second part is Vikram, and the third we don't know yet. They call it LCU.

In the climax they mention a character called "dili". He is the protagonist of Kaithi. If you had watched Kaithi you had have gotten more context towards the end. Also Agent Vikram is based on a character Kamal Hassan played in the 80s called Vikram. This movie falls within that universe as well

"Kaithi" and "Vikram" both are in Lokesh cinematic universe aka LCU. Both "Kaithi" and "Vikram" incidents happened within a 6 month duration period.. Rolex's 1000 kgs drug was seized and hides in "Kaithi" timeline.. A prisoner(Dilli) helped to do those all in "Kaithi" timeline with the help of Bijoy(inspector).
