VIKTOR BOUT - LORD of WAR. When the real story is way better than the movie

Viktor Bout is the most famous arms dealer in the world. This fact is greatly facilitated by the film "Lord of War" starring Nicolas Cage, which skyrocketed Bout's popularity. Despite many scenes in the film being fictitious or embellished, Bout really did do business with the most cruel and bloody people on Earth. He worked with Al-Qaeda and with the Taliban, ran military equipment for the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, supplied weapons to probably all African countries where civil wars were fought, and did not shy away from transporting weapons to all the belligerents involved. People died because of people like him, and he was dubbed the "Merchant of Death." In American law enforcement circles, Bout was second only to Osama Bin Laden, while in Russia, on the contrary, he was considered an innocent victim of American politics and almost a national hero. He was hunted by numerous international intelligence agencies, but unimaginably always managed to escape. So how did he get caught?

Hello friends! For many, the video turned out to be contradictory, but in it we did not want to offend anyone or, on the contrary, elevate them. The main task of this video is to tell the story of Viktor Bout. I hope that different political views and different attitudes towards Bout and his deeds will not make you write insults to anyone and show disrespect to each other. Let's be more friendly and polite in the comments! Thank you so much for understanding!

The Viktor Bout story is highly dependent on the gopnik dystopia of post-Soviet Russia whereby government workers have gone unpaid for an extended period. I found this alternate reality to be very much in line with the heady narratives of Alex Jones Infowars and enjoyed it very much. Thank you

America currently funds a genocide going on in Gaza why don't you make a video about how your own country is the number one enemy of the planet. and have some legal room to move when the s*** can comes down on you for portraying a perfectly innocent man as a criminal under US legal standards of behaviour. Criminalising a man for doing what so many of your own countrymen do is hypocrisy and hypocrisy often ends up the wrong side of the law because you don't actually care about what's right and wrong you care about propaganda don't be a fool for your government by spouting s*** like this.

In post-Soviet Russia, former military equipment and commercial equipment was just laying around rotting because they were hemorrhaging money just trying to become a new country. People were buying everything from gun to tanks, planes and helicopters for Pennies. I remember a documentary about a Ukrainian born Russian arms dealer who had a club in Miami - they called him Tarzan - who was caught offering a nuclear sub for like 15,000,000. Nuclear subs are clearly harder to come by than cargo planes and a bit more expensive lol

100% true, CIA trafficked alot of guns to the hmong people during the secret war/vietnam war. They recruited kids as young as 10 years old to fight for them against the commies who were trying to liberate their country after the french got their asses kicked. The CIA funded the war by trafficking tons of opium for the Hmong people. That's part of the reason how they were able to afford to fund the war. Back in mid 2000 General Vang Pao got caught in the USA trying to smuggle weapons including the STINGER to Laos. He was charged by feds for trying to start a revolution and over throwing a country, later on the charges were mysteriously dropped because the CIA stepped in. So that must mean the CIA was also involved, where else would those STINGER rocket launchers come from?

Sidenote here but isn't this how the US arms complex works? If they brought it all back then there would be no need for producing small arms again in a couple decades, and now instead they needed to ramp up production to cover what was left there and still needed when back on US soil getting ready for the next conflict... The only US lobbying (legalised bribery) organisation even coming close to the arms is the medical, right? Many senators and other politicians who stood behind that decision to just leave everything behind that they did despite knowing years ahead about their exit. p.s. I'm Scandinavian so these are just my perceived views on how the US arms complex works, but I don't think I'm too far off from the truth since military hardware - small arms to tanks, are VASTLY more expensive to manufacture than to transport... Just saying ;) p.p.s. Wasn't Lord of War based on three other guys? Bulgarian? Hungarian??? That's what I seem to recollect from an old comment by the director, but it's been a long while and my memory might be corrupted watching too many youtube videos since then... Hahahahaha!
