It is worth highlighting that the mop does a very good clean using just hot water; it's really quick to use, too, and you're not locked into using the manufacturer's cleaning products, the way you are with some other mops.
Thank you for this. I was mindful of the splashing when using mine for the first time. I found if I lifted the mop and carefully moved over to the basket very wet all the mop went into the basket with minimal splashes.
I have the same mop and when I go from bucket to spinner I just give a little shake up and down over the water, nothing strenuous, it makes all the strands drop down and it all fits into the spinner just fine. ❤
I bought one which has a smaller head which then goes fully into the spinner but when you try to mop, the fibres are so short the plastic flips back and forth striking the floor so not good to use.
My biggest problem with this one is that it doesn't separate the dirty water from clean. Sadly, most of these designs don't separate the water. You're essentially just cleaning with dirty water over and over again.
Yes I fully agree it's a really bad design and they could easily fix it as like you say why would you want the dirty water to go back on the floor makes zero sense. I guess the only way around this would be to buy a separate bucket you could fill with the cleaner and the water and use this to drain the mop head and keep the dirty water. I might actually do this going forward
